Whats a SAFE but CHEAP carseat? I have a consumer reports account, but the best rated was $350 and only rated a 69 and would only hold 40lbs. I have a '05 Nissan Altima, so it can't be like HUGE. UGH, this is way too big of a decision! :-S

This is the carseat we have. (Babiesrus always sends out coupons 20% off) I love this carseat. It is made to mimic the britex (which is the best carseat around) they are tested at speeds 65+ the britex carseats are made in Germany and are tested way above any American carseat. The symphony 65 is tested to their standards!

We have the same carseat as @second_time_mommy7 We love it but the only thing I dont like is it has two gaps in the fabric where the seatbelt sliders are (the shoulder ones) I always think my sons gonna get stuck in there. (He wont its just my irrational insane craziness!! Lol)

@second_time_mommy7 We took the infant pillow out and they are behind... that middle flap looks like its just sitting there... :-) We still love it though!!

I have a maxi cosi priori, they are mostly sold in europe so its not huge and very stylish, its one of the highest safety ratings and I got mine on amazon for 150! It was originally 250 I think, and its convertible so it goes from 5 to 50lbs

I have a britax and have to be honest, not a huge fan...obv I love it for the safety rating but if I have to move it from one car to another forget it lol it is sooo heavy and not very user friendly in my opinion...food for thought... .
