ICK!

So we have one indoor cat. Somehow she managed to get fleas. As soon as I realized I went to the vet and got the medication for the cat, and vacuumed my carpets but my son is still getting bit! I don't want to use the pesticides or bombs all over my house, what can I do?!

Comments

  • Bowl of soapy water with a light shining down on it.
  • Sprinkle salt in the carpets, leave for a couple days then vaccum. Repeat as needed.
  • Wash EVERYTHING -- bedding, towels, clothing, vacuum inside couches and chairs.
  • If the animal already has fleas it will take at least 3 months to completely get rid of them off the animal, because the fleas have to reach adult hood for the medicine to be effective. But in the mean time definitely bomb the house and wash everything. Dawn soap works well to wash the cat, if he will let you.
