26 weeks measuring 31??

I had my Dr apt today and he measured my belly and it measures 31! I've gained 9 lbs in a month and last month when I had my ultrasound he said that she was a little on the big side. She was on the 89%. I think this might be a big girl. How accurate is the belly measuring?

Baby could be laying sideways. When I was 28 weeks I measured 37 weeks, but baby was sideways. She was big at birth though...9lbs 3oz. I wouldn't worry too much about measuring big this early on.

she is breech. my dr said we will see what I measure next month and go from there but he didn't seem to concerned. @homebirthadvocate. Her Dad was big at birth 9lb 2oz. can that have an anything to so with babies weight at birth?
