help i cant get his fever down!

My 1 year old has been really sick running a fever around 102.8, he is on ammoxicillin and I just gave him some ibuprofen earlier, but his fever isn't any better. I have stripped him down and put a cool washcloth on him, what else should I do? He is just laying around and so hot :'(

    The fever isn't bad. Rotate tylenol and motrin every four hours. Antibiotics take around 24-48 hours to show results. Just keep baby comfortable. Tylenol is often not enough to get a fever down, which is why you rotate. Also, Tylenol and other fever reducers is not too necessary as a fever is our body's way of fighting off infection.
