34 weeks and 1 day scared !!!

I am 34/1 weeks pregnant, and I am dilated 3cm and 50% effaced. But my baby has not dropped yet. I've been treated with steroids and pacardia to stop contractions, now I'm home on bed rest. Could it be a possibility I may go into labor soon?

I think so..But contractions are good don't know why they wanna stop it... the not dropping is a rough thing but also you can't be pregnant forever. Maybe you'll hve to go through a C-Section if baby doesn't drop soon.

There is a possibility i am 31 wks 2days and i am dilated to a 2 i was also on bed rest. My baby has dropped already i am just trying to tke it easy so he wont be here early. Try to do the same hun one or two weeks can make a difference in the baby's birth weight.

My lo didn't drop until a week before dd. I hope yours decides to stay in til at least 37 weeks. Good luck! :-)

@AishaMusa I'm sure they want to stop the contractions since she's only 34weeks.....

My baby didnt drop til 37 wks so it may just be to early @aishamusa contractions are not good that early! She still has 3 weeks to be full term.

Possibly but the procardia is very good at stopping them i was on it wit 2 of my kids it worked very well

Hope your lo stays put. my water broke at 34 wks 5 days had my lo at 35 wks. Perfectly healthy no time in nicu. Best of luck hun

@sands3 & @Graysonsmommy I'm not that intellegant when it comes to pregnancy sorry about that my baby dropped at 40weeks didn't come until the end of the 42nd week... the doc was relieved that i was 6cm dialated at my last doc appointment before I gave birth!

Don't stress out hun. I was dilated around a 3 at 35 week's and almost 80% effaced. I started losing my mucus plug at like 30 weeks and started contracting then as well. I was in pre labor right at the end of my 36th week until I had her at 38 week's :-) Sometimes our bodies just put us through hell and back. Just remember...if baby is born now, chances are extremely great for baby to be okay. But no stressing :-p

I was dilated at 1 and 25 percent effaced at 31 weeks at 32 I was 1 and a half and 50 percent effaced. My little one was born at 37 weeks 4 days 7 pnd 1.8 oz granted I was induced because of high bp but I was put on bed rest at 31 weeks because of preterm labor. So as long as that's nott going on and baby is not engaged in your pelvis you should be okay @:-)

I was three centimeters for a couple weeks so hopefully that will put you around 36 before baby comes! Even if baby came now, it would be okay! A little early, but not too bad hun. Don't stress it!
