@Mom2ING; Thanks! They have all my information, so no need for second resume. It's a federally funded program and they needed all kinds of stuff upfront. I tend to be overly relaxed at interviews and I think it comes across as arrogant, lol. I just have nothing to be nervous about. Wanted some last minute tips!
Still bring a resume. Always always always. You never know if they'll forget one, or want a copy for someone else who's also interviewing you. Don't interrupt them, avoid saying umm and like, have a list of your own questions, but avoid asking about things like vacation time. Smile! Eye contact!
Know your weaknesses, both professionally and personally. Be prepared to answer a time that you went above and beyond what was expected of you and why.
Not really about the interview, but to get the interview.... Have an eye catching resume! Use some color (not colored font or anything, just an accent somewhere on the page). If your resume is different from everyone else's, you'll stand out that much more. I can't tell you how many interviews/jobs I've gotten simply for having a good resume. Always, always, always bring at least two more resumes with you to the interview, IN a resume folder ALONG WITH your matching cover letter.
I always wear a hint of red to an interview because it conveys power And I speak when spoken to. Have a strong handshake, not a limp fish...hmm. Just adding to the other girls' advice. Good luck!!
Thank you ladies! It was a panel interview with 4 members. I was calm and collected and did my best through about 20 questions. Now the waiting game. = 0)
