Newborn Rash

edited October 2012 in Babies Health
So my two week old son has a bad diaper rash. I've tried desitin and A&D. I'm about to try breastmilk. Anyone tried this with sucess? His poor butt is almost blistered!

  • Yes! Pure organic coconut oil is good too.
  • ALOE VESTA FROM A MEDICAL STORE WORKS GREAT OR NYSTATIN FOR LIKE YEAST INFECTIONS. BEST IS MIXING THE 2 IN EQUAL PARTS. USE A SPRAY BOTTLE WITH WATER AND TISSUES OR COTTON BALLS TO CLEAN DIAPER AREA. DONT USE WIPES. ALSO COULD BE ALLERGY TO THE DIAPERS. TRY MAYBE HUGGIES NATURAL DIAPERS.
  • @caroline8_p oh I'll have to try that! Thank you!

@Steph_Due_101611 I thought allergy at first, but it just showed up and we've used pampers swaddlers since birth. I have nystatin but I wasn't sure I could use it since he was so young. Thank you!!
  • Another thing, call me crazy but it helps, burn flower, dry, in a pan in the stove until brown. Sprinkle on affected area.
  • My son was about that age or a lil younger wen he got a bad rash an was prescribed nystatin it cleared up within a couple hours
