  • If you have a travel system most airlines will let you check them at the gate which was awesome I left her in it till security took her out put the system through and carried my daughter through. I just told them at security that I had breastmilk and formula they mad me open them so they could test it and that was it. I had gotten there early in case it took awhile and actually it was a breeze.
  • We bought some cheap toys at a doller store and kept them hidden from her until the flight. New toys are great distractions! And yes, sucking for take off and landing.
  • suitcase or bags and strollers that ROLL. its really hard and tiring to carry things with the baby. I suggest your stroller if its big to help with your purse and or diaper bag. a carrier is fine too but they get real heavy and I regret not bringing my stroller. bring tip money and just have a guy in a golf cart drive you everywhere especially if its a big airport.
  • I flew with my son at 4 months. All of the ladies above have great ideas, and mostly what I did to keep him happy. My airline made me take off my baby carrier for takeoff and landing, so be prepared to ditch yours if you wear baby. Otherwise, distractions work great. Hope it isn't too long of a flight :)
  • Thank you ladies!! I don't think I'll wear him since i'm taking my stroller and carseat. The flights are 3hrs and 1hr so it shouldn't be too bad! I booked the flight that took off at his normal feeding time and I'll take a paci for landing :)

  • Oh and they don't charge you to check the carseat base with your bags
