question about babys stomach

So I had an ultrasound at 10w4d and she said that it looked like the babys stomach hadn't closed all the way so she wanted.me.back at 13 weeks for another ultrasound. She didn't seem to worried but said if it hadn't.closed up that we would.talk about it more then. This wasnt my normal doctor but I will be seeing my normal doctor at my next ultrasound.

Does anyone have any experience with this? What happened did it close on its own, or did something have to.happen to close it?

My daughter had a hole in her heart, and when were talking about it with the doctor, she said it was common for it to happen in the baby's heart and stomach and it usually fixes itself. Good luck, mama!

If baby is born with his/her insides out of her belly, they will push them in nicely and sew it up usually. My nephew was born this way (plus his intestines were backwards, they had to switch them), and he's a healthy 7 year old now.

@fate thanks, so if it isnt closed up they would just wait till the baby is.born?

Yes ma'am. Sometimes it can't be closed up right away, due to the risk of infection, but eventually they will put them in their rightful place. No worries.
