9 yr old question

What are your 9yr olds doing all day during this christmas vacation. Mil watches ours and let her watch tv all am and then play on the computer all afternoon. Idk but feel like should ne something productive also

My 8 year old plays with his new xmas toys, plays outside, talks A LOT, and helps with cooking.

Vacation is for vegging ;-) it's ok once in a while ....

I agree w ^^^ I allow my kids to just chill out on days off from school. Even normal weekends r busy so Xmas break is for doing whatever. The tv is usually on all day but they barely ever r watching it. They r playing w Xmas toys and each other. We aren't leaving the house all week. I'm loving it.

Dont have a problem with playing all day its the watching tv all day

Mine goes outside and plays with his friends all day. he rarely plays inside

I agree, just hanging out. On weekends we usually are running around all over creation. I've been letting her play with her toys...even let her skip violin lessons. I mean she still has her chores like clean her room after playing...help clear the table, dishes but otherwise just hanging out. That's how we did it when I was growing up. This is the first yr in her lifetime that I'm actually off (got laid off) so I'm letting them hang out. We play games and her and her brother play together. They got legos for Christmas. It's also snowed twice in two days so they go out and play. Even Christmas day we stayed home so they could play and enjoy their toys. Kids grow up so fast these days I figure let them have some fun:)

My little brothers are 10 and 13 so pretty close to 9 and my mom lets them do what ever they want for their vacation, come on, kids stress enough during school days not to have a few days off, sometimes my two little brothers play ps3 all day and some other times they don't want to be home at all and outside playing basketball , skooter or playing around with their dog
