never been to one are u suppose to buy. a gift for the kid

  • You could just give money that's what my son got from everyone at his.
  • Honestly, just any kind of gift the way you would do it for a birthday party. Why, i don't know. My family doesn't baptize kids so we don't have baptism parties. I only know about them because my dad and his side of the family does that and celebrates it.

    Usually just a card with money. But you dont HAVE to. Family or God parents are usually the ones that help buy candle, gown/suit,etc.
  • A nice card and gift card will do just fine. Like any party baby shower, birthday, bridal, housewarming, ect. You're never obligated to buy a gift but it's just proper etiquette to do so.
  • For my daughters christening everyone gave money in a card or gift cards.
