uti over the counter meds?

I'm pretty sure I have a uti. I usually take the azo strip test and and if its positive I use the azo uti pills. Well I'm pregnant now and need to know if there is anything over the counter that I can take. I messaged my dr dor her opinion. Should I also ask a pharmacist? My fiance doesn't want to take me to the dr. (No license) so this is my only option

I'm pretty sure you need antibiotics. Azo will only help with the pain.

Cranberry juice Tylenol for the pain coca cola +LEMON extract takes kind of long without medication and it s really painful try not to have sex it will make the pain worse (or at least on me)

Utis are nothing to play around with during pregnancy. The azo pills are only for pain relief and even the cranberry pills will not always fix a uti. The most important thing to do while awaiting the doc is to increase your water intake immensely. A urine culture and antibiotics are a must while pregnant.

They are right get to drinking for now until they can back but it is an infection that's why u need antibiotics anything over the counter will just get rid of the symptoms not the infection itself.

Thank ladies. I haven't been seen. I've been waiting for my fiance to get off work to take me into an urgent care. For some reason my caseworker didn't know I was pregnant and denied me. So I have to reapply. Fml. Things are not going well.

I wenr into urgenr care and it'll bill my insurance till I get it back on. I was seen and it was negative for uti. They sent it out for a culture. Gave me antibiotics anyways and ill pick them up tomorrow. @jules

@jules I forgot to say they aaid mt urine was vert dry and concentrated so I meed to drink more water.

Oh ya water for sure! Well just keep drinking fluids in general if you're not big on water I know a lot people aren't. I live on water lol
