Anyone's else's pregnancy seem to be flying by?

edited July 2013 in Pregnant
Feels like I just found out I was pregnant. Found out at 5weeks. I'm now 6 months pregnant and can't believe how fast it's gone by. Could be because I'm busy with a very active 20 month old little girl this time. But now I feel like I'm slowly running out of time to prepare for my son. We have to start all over with new things and I have yet to begin. I will be having another shower since its a different gender. But not until I'm 36 weeks. I was just telling my husband tonight. We better start shopping somewhere soon. Lol def don't wanna feel overwhelm all at one time.

Mine is too! But It's thanks to my toddler and urge to get into my new home. Definitely a blessing! :)
  • @perly aww thanks for thinking of me but I agree it has been flying by! I feel like it was just March and we moved then did our thing to ttc and I took test and now I'm 21 weeks and 5 days today crazy! Plus my tummy is small so don't feel that far along I wish I could post my pic I took couple days ago, but my photobucket is full and I don't know any other way of doing it :(....it's been nice and blessing for sure I'm excited to have another baby girl around but little nervous that I don't get as much one on one with Scarlett I love that... And how tired I'm gonna be between them two..... lol I'll servive right!?
  • @jules you will. Just have Scarlett help with little things, like bringing the diaper to you when the baby needs a change or helping pick out the baby's outfit for the day and so on. That way she won't feel like she doesn't get any attention from you. As the baby gets older you'll get the hang of it the way you did when you had Scarlett.
  • @perly ya I'm not worried once baby gets older that be fun for all of us but it will be different at first. Scarlett is only 19 months but I think she willdo a lot more growing as far as independence goes next few months! I love having time for just us :) I hope I can still have that and gone our new daughter those chances too ya know.
  • @jules as someone that's going through it right now, I can tell you the beginning is tough. I was so sad that I couldn't spend as much one on one time with my son once my second was born. That or sad that I can't hold my newborn as much and he has to spend so much time in his rocker because I have my 21mo old to tend to. I broke down and cried the first night home because I realized things would never be the same, dont get me wrong, I am extremely happy to have had my second but just know its going to take time to get used to and it might be tough in the beginning but its temporary.
  • Feels like mine has flown by also I'm 6 months prego with a 23 month old little boy!
  • It feels like mine is too!
  • @everyone. It's crazy how fast 2 or multiples pregnancies go by fast versa's the first one. Again I have a 20 mth that keeps me busy and I have a few fears like @jules when it comes to sharing time etc. I'm expecting a lot of adjusting. But overall lots of mommies get in a routine and it all works out and I'm hoping the same happens for me with my daughter and son. I'm so excited to have my kids close in age. It will be neat watching them become best friends and growing together :)
  • @excitedforoctober ya that's what I've been pucturing. I think if I keep just being open and honest with myself about it I will handle it better. I'm very excited about our little addition it's never easy at first but I know like everything else we all adjust hopefully it's smooth transition though :) One thing I know I'm blessed that I can stay home thanks to my hubby and his job so that's one less thing to think any it since I went back to work with our first for little. This time I can just focus on my babies :)
  • In the beginning it was slow then the second trimester went by kinda quick. The third trimester is going by so fast.
