Baby "maybe" measuring small

edited August 2013 in Pregnant
I am 34w&2d and my OB said baby "seems" to be measuring small for how far along am I. So I'm having an ultrasound on the 19th to make sure. I'm not worried, my last appointment everything was on track. Its probably due to how he is positioned. This is why I hate fundal measurements.

I don't have a primary OB and each visit I get a different OB. That's how my hospital rolls unless you have a midwife or a high risk doctor. This is part of why I'm not worried.

@jules: This is why I'm not fond of fundal measurements. They said both of my cousins kids were going to be big babies but they came out to be average sized. Her daugher is now 9y/o (6lbs 6oz at birth) and her son is 6mos (7lbs at birth).

I have a feeling he might actually be bigger. I am carrying really low.
  • Ya its not 100 percent thing but its good to have just in case right :).... but I agree no reason to worry! Keep me updated though.
  • Will do @jules. At least I get another ultrasound, yay!
  • Yes that is exciting thats always great day :)
  • Im 34 weeks & 2 days also :) im sure ur baby is ok. I don't think u have anything to worry about. I get a new ob each visit too but im measuring a week ahead.
  • @jules: :-D

@NylasMommy: I'm not worried at all. I'm sure everything is fine. The OB I had this time seemed off to me.
  • Are they sending you to a perinatologist? They're the ones that can really give you exact measurements.
  • Nope @monkey_girl. I'm just going in for a ultrasound. I guess if he does measure small I might get sent to one.
