My 5 year old ripped her entire nail off!
The whole nail, even the matrix part under the skin. 
The er cleaned it & stitched it back on as a splint for the new one to (hopefully) grow back. She gets the stitches out in a week. She did super great, when they did the digital block (numbing her finger) she just cried a tiny bit. They said most adults don't even do that well! I hope her nail grows back, poor thing.
