2nd birthday party ideas??

I'm going to try making my son bday cake. Party city has a good bit of good deals on Disney Cars party supplies. I found everything from plates,cups,napkins favors, cake pan, cupcake decorations, cars CD, wall decoration (for his room) for $80. I'm going to attempt to make his cake this year. We are also having his birthday at the local pizza buffet/gameroom. We are planning on buying couple pizza but if anyone wants the buffet that is extra for them. For two ppl it comes to $15. Any tips on decorating the cake and cupcakes?

Sounds fun! Maybe just do a lightning mcqueen cake and then just simple cupcakes with the plastic rings with the cars theme..if that's what you are doing.

Yea I'm buying the McQueen cake pan,and doing cupcakes. Depending on how everything goes I wouldn't mind trying to make one of cookies on that site. I'm also thinking about printing off some of the activities to fill the treat bags with. Oh I'm definitely making my son the cozy cone motel for his cars.
