hands foot and mouth disease

Has any one ever delt with hands foot and mouth disease? I think my almost 2 year old has it.. She has sores in her mouth and she won't eat or drink anything and last night she would not also because she seemed to be in pain all night (even with Tylenol/ibuprofen) Idk what to do to get her to eat/drink.. She ate a popsicle but would not eat another one so I'm stuck at this point please someone help

My friends 2yr old had it a few months ago and her doctor gave her some kind of ointment or spray that went in her mouth/throat that would help numb the pain and helped her eat. Hope your LO feels better soon!

My son had it but his case was a small one he didn't get it inside his mouth

I hope this works.. but this is only a few bumps there are more in her mouth and she still won't eat or drink any thing I feel like a horrible person because she won't eat or drink idk what to do about it

Have u called her doctor for advice?

all my 3 of mine had it dr told me to do jello yogurts popsicles pedialyte . mine didnt have it on there body but there mouth was covered in sores wit swollen purple gums it was horrible.

my baby cousin also had it an her dr told her to take equal parts of benedryl an maalox an get a q tip an swab it around her mouth

My son had it and your description and pics look and sound like what we went through. It's a virus so there really isn't any meds you can give her other that Tylenol to keep her comfy. We got pediasure for my son because he had the blisters in his mouth and throat so it was painful for him to eat. Just lots of rest and snuggles and just ride it out momma because this sickness is no fun. Hopefully you, your hubby and your younger baby don't get it too because its very contagious

Oh that sucks so bad. I'm so sorry both your kids have it. HF&M is no fun at all. My son really liked cold stuff like ice pops and cold pediasure. Maybe your baby would like cold formula or frozen formula ice cubes?

@frantastic my baby did not eat tell her daddy got home from work at 330 yesterday and has ate ever since so I think she had something else but my other girl she won't eat and only drinks 1 cup a day so I'm hoping today will be better
