should i be concerned?...

edited March 2011 in Pregnant
So I work retail and I'm pregnant. Most older women at work always yell at me for bending down and pickin stuff up. They say I'm squishing my baby and that it can cause my baby bodily injuries or like deformity. This one lady said if I keep on maybe I'm squishing an arm and my baby can have a messed up arm. I feel totally fine bending its not that uncomfortable yet, I'm 24 weeks. My baby sometimes kicks me when I bend but that's about it, but then again baby also kicks when I sit down. Lol. Am I being dumb and should I listen or is my baby perfectly safe inside of me? I have a doctors appointment next week and was gonna ask but today they just really got me thinking about it...

  • Tell them to mind their own business! You will not harm your baby by bending over! Your baby is plenty protected inside the womb.and as long as you are practicing safe lifting and not lifting things that are too heavy you are fine. Wow and I thought I heard it all lol(laughing at them not u)
  • Thanks you ladies! Lol see that's what I thought, but they would always sit there and tell me I'm wrong. I'm getting bigger now so the nagging is more frequent. This is my first baby so I guess they feel the need to give me unwanted advice. lol. Thanks ladies!
  • Old wives tales. Like all the other ladies you are good.
