Is it safe to get dental work done in ur first trimester?

  • Depends on the work. Ask your dr first. Mine let me get minor work done but gave direction to my dentist on what medicine he could give me.
  • It is best to get any needed work done early in your pregnancy. Also woman with unhealthy teeth are more at risk for premature babies so its important to keep your smile and gums healthy.just tell your dentist you are pregnant
  • Yes But you can't get any anesthetic until 2nd trimester, with an ok from your dr. I work in dental and we had many pregnant patients.
  • I'm a dental assistant. We generally don't do work on people until the 2nd trimester. If it an emergency make sure they give you plain anesthetic. No epinephrine!
