Does my newborn automatically get put on my medicaid in the hospital until he gets his own card?

I do believe so cuz they have have a ss# and what not to have their own card

I know in tn they r covered under ur ins for 30 days till u get them on their own

The baby will be covered for 30 days but you have to call the insurance company and tell them you delivered...I didn't know that with my son and the Dr almost refused his first set of shots because his coverage ran out

I never called my insurance company after I had my kids they sent me a notice 2 weeks later saying they have there own insurance but they said baby boy sanders and baby girl sanders cause they didnt know my kids name.

U have to go to the hhs office with the birth certificate and ss card to add the baby and that would be within 30 days

in florida they automatically give it to the baby, then you have to renew it after a few months.
