  • Ya they don't work as well as the ones at the dr office. We got one with my daughter, didn't get clear sound on it at all. We were disappointed, some medical supply stores will rent out fetal dopplers like the ones in dr office, your doc may know more about it than i do. You could google it too.
  • I had one with my 2nd (she is now 8) that was Bebe Sounds brand. It was cool, but was kind of hard to distinguish her heartbeat over the sounds of your womb. I thought about buying an actual doppler, but since this is our last baby, I didn't want to waste the money.
  • I bought the graco one also last week, I'm only 14 weeks though so I haven't been able to hear anything. Most reviews I've read about it oriole either live it it hate it, I'm going I'll be able to hear something soon.
  • You can buy one like the drs use on ebay. I paid 65 for mine. Been hearing my lil mans heartbeat since I was 9 weeks preggo. I LOVE IT. So glad I got it.
  • yea if my graco one doesnt work im not going to spend any more money on those, it would be awesome to hear it always tho, i didnt pick anything up on mine, i thought i did but then i put it on my hubbys belly and heard the same noises so must have just been guts or whatever lol it says it wont work til late 2nd trimester so im proly too soon. are you supose to use gel with those? bc mine says to put directly on skin
  • I have a graco moniter that I've been using since 13 weeks. Sometimes its hard to distinguish heartbeat but most of the time I can hear heartbeat clearly. I love it.
  • @firsttimemama do you use gel or just rub it over your belly without?
  • I don't use any gel. I've noticed that if I move it in inch spaces and hold on each spot for like 20 seconds. Sounds like a horse trotting. You can hear it clearly from womb sounds.
  • You have to use gel on the doppler like I have or u cant hear nothin. Mine is what the dr uses. I dont think u can buy them in a store
  • @firsttimemama thanx, il keep trying! @karla_with_a_K its nothing fancy like my doc uses, i wish!
  • Take that one back and buy u a fancy one. Its worth it and I only paid 65 for mine. U can always sell it after baby is born.
  • @Karla_with_a_K lol you're funny, i dont think i can return it bc the stupid package you know?? its not like i can put it back in it its one of those horrible plastic ones that you have to cut open
  • Ohh just tell them it dont work. Maybe they will take it.back. Tell them to send it back to the factory.:)
  • They'll take it back girl. Department stores want customers to come back. So they like to please you. Just gotta have ur reciept. Goodluck!
