how long from the night the deed was done will a + test show

See my baby dad is saying the dates don't match up. I want to explain it to him. We did the deed December 16. I went to the gyno for a regular checkup on December 20th n had a negative pregnancy test. I tried to explain to him that it could take up to one week for the egg to become fertile. Right? Well now I'm 13 weeks n be says he used his own math skills n if I'm 13 weeks I would have gotten prego the week after. See the problem here is we broke up the week after. Now ladies I'm 100% sure he's the dad. I haven't been with anyone else. I just want to ease his mind on this subject. Any advice? Despite this he says he still wants to b here for me n go to all the doc visits. I just don't want him to have the stupid thought in his head that this baby might not b his. Its so annoying.

Tell him that once you do the deed it tales 10-14 days for implantation to occurs then 48-72 hours for hcg to double to even reach 50/100 mg of hcg to be detected in urine. Men are airheads to getting pregnant basics 101. Lol good luck

Its usually day 11 of your cycle thru day 14. Meaning starting the day you started, say the 10th, add 11dys which would be the 21st. Then thru day 14, which would be the 24th, would be your 3dy most fertile time frame. Then 2wks later (when your period would be due again) is when you will/should be able to get a positive test. That being said, sperm can live up to a week inside, meaning, yes, its very well possible you conceived a week later.

Generally takes two weeks. My tests don't show a + until the day im supposed to get my period. Tell him to relax and go w you to ur next docs appt.
Not to be a downer...but is there a chance he's not ready or interested in being a dad? And that's why he's pulling this BS?

Men have 0 concept of the pregnancy timeline. They always thing that if ur 8 weeks along then u got pregnant 8 weeks ago, um no, 8 weeks ago u were starting ur period and he was hiding under a table, lol!! Try not to sweat it, and have him go to an ob appt with u. Have ur Dr explain it to him. He is more likely to believe the professional.

Tell him if he still has any doubts, u won't pressure hun to sign the birth certificate right away, and that u will volunteer a dna test if he is still worried. Then u won't have anything to argue about, keeping the stress down and both u and ur bean happy and healthy
