SOO NAUSEOUS. HELP!

edited March 2011 in First Trimester
Im six weeks pregnant with my first, and probably only, and the nausea is hitting me HARD. Even the thought of food makes me feel sick, and I gag at just about anything. Sigh. Is there anything I can do that will help me? I've tried the B Natal lozenges but even those don't help. Sucking on ginger, bread, sipping on water, etc. Nothing. It's taking over my life. Ughh.

  • I was so nauseous in the first trimester! I even had to change my laundry detergant every couple of days because the smell upset me so much! At least I have a lot of variety and back up detergant now, haha. Nothing that I tried really helped, I think it is just one of those rights of passage and you just gotta stick through it. Be strong, we are here for you!
  • I sucked on lemons lol that was the only thing that worked for me up until 3 weeks ago. I finally had to ask my doc for anti nausea meds and now I'm great!!
  • Lol. Thank you. I've been trying NOT to throw up and it's soo far been good. Hopefully I wont, and If I do, I hope its not at work. Haha. But Cheese itz definately don't sound too appealing, and I've been Googling every remedy I can try. IDK about the car thing yet.. I've driven, and that was okay, but IDK about riding with my fiance yet.. And we've got a 5 hour trip on Monday, so hopefully it wont be too bad. I just pray this will be over with soon, and I wont be one of the unfortunate women who have "morning" sickness the whole pregnancy. I def will deserve a drink once the lil one is out. Lol.
  • Another thing is, I havent been to the doctor yet, because I have no insurance. We're waiting to tell his parents and we'll discuss marriage, since he is military and I would be covered. We've been together for 4 years, so it isnt the worst Idea. Lol. We shall see. And I know alll about the anti nausea meds. Im a pharmacy tech, and Im hoping i too will soon be getting a prescription for them. LOL. ;)
  • Well when ya get insurance ZOFRAN. Lol. But in the mean time try sucking on pepperments and drinking hot pepperment tea. That seemed to help a lot. Good luck and congrats.
