I say, anytime after you find out the gender should be good. Whatever is a good time for you. I was planning on doing mines 2months before my due date, so I'm not miserable plus it gives me time to clean and wash everything and time to pick up stuff that we didnt get during the baby shower

I had my baby shower after he was born so he could meet everyone. He was about a month old. We got all the necessary things before he was born, and after the shower we didn't have to buy any clothes until he was one. We didn't buy diapers for 6 months! It was great!
