  • The water is extremely helpful in relaxing your muscles. You may want to walk dance sway or be generally upright for a while until you've dialated to about 4-5 cm though so you get into a good patern of active labor.

  • I'm pregnant with our first and I'm hoping for a natural water birth too. I've never heard a bad thing about water births.

  • This will be my 5th and I love being in the water while im in labor I stay in the shower till its time to walk out the door.idk if I have the option but I've been looking into it and I read in a couple places that when the baby takes its 1st couple breaths if it breathes in the tub water it can get phnemonia.does anyone know anything about this?
  • A lot of hospital don't offer it but mine offers a Jacuzzi tubs and showers that lead up to the birth. I will be taking advantage of them and I still don't want to use any meds.
