In need of advice or experiences!!!!!!! PLZ!!!! FRUSTRATED with Mother Nature!

My husband and I have been ttc for 17 months and nothing. We were finally sent to a fertility specialist and he has been working with us since November 2010. I had af Dec 20- Jan 19 (the worst month of my life, I missed a lot of work and was repremended by my sexist boss and it caused more stress than I have ever had in my life. I also went to the ER several times (my baby dr.(gyno) was taking precaution bc she thought I was losing way too much blood (tmi, sorry) and thought I might have to do a blood transfusion (thankfully my body was using all it had to produce more and I didn't have to have one) anyway long story short, we went to the fertility dr on Jan 19 (af had stopped) the dr. put me on my first round of clomid, took a test and it was neg. I then went from Jan 19-March 3 till af started again. Just finished my second round (double dose this round) of clomid. Hubby and I had intercourse last night and then today I went to the restroom and was in utter SHOCK! Af appeared!!!!!!!!!!! She was just here! She isn't suppose to arrive for another month! I don't know what to think now! Yesterday there was nothing (af ended on Thursday) and then we had intercourse and now I am bleeding?!?!?!??!?!??!?!?! I just don't get it at all, this doesn't make sense to me!!!! Anyone know of experiences like this or experienced it themselves??? All I want in the whole world is to conceive a miracle! Hubby and I deserve a little miracle! Niether hubby nor I have kids :( This will be a first for us both! I am trying to stay positive, and I was doing GREAT until about an hour ago!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • :( I can't help and don't know what I could say that would make u feel better but.. its going to happen good people always get there wishes eventually :) it may just be your body adjusting to the clomid, have u asked your doc, hope things get better hunni :( so heartbreaking to see some1 so deserving being put through this stress xx
  • @georgias_mummy Thank you very much for your support! I have to wait until Monday and call my dr :( I'm praying that it stops very soon! And I have a dr appt on the 21st to check my progesterone levels.
  • Np I know how upsetting it is for me every month and I've only been trying since nov so 17 months would seem a life sentance, everyone has there time, just hope yours is sooner, keep me updated with how doctors goes hun xxxxxxxxx
  • @praying4twins that is so strange I've never heard of that before!! I use to take clomid but I had an allergic reaction to it and was in the ER on Christmas :( but I'm not sure if excess bleeding is one of the side effects! However I know it gets frustrating but continue to count your blessings if you didn't get an af at all it would be harder to conceive!!! Your gonna be a great mom and you and the hubby deserve it :) when ur twins come all this waiting and frustrating will never cross ur mind again ;) tons of sticky gooey baby dust ur way
  • @Prayin_4_twins I had a similar experience with clomid. The drug is actually supposed to make your cycles more regular. With me, I had bleeding between cycles and then no period at all. That was on my second round of clomid @ 100mg. Turns out I didn't need the clomid, I was ovulating anyway (and had been getting pos LH surge to prove it). Doc said something could still be wrong with ovulation and started clomid anyway. I developed two very large cysts on my left ovary and one on my right. If you are having abnormal bleeding and feel there is something wrong, talk to your doc. I had to demand an ultra sound as my doc didn't think the clomid could have been the source of the abnormal bleeding. It was!

Got my bfp 3 months later, after my body leveled out. Had my cervix dilated and hsg test done and that cycle got preggo. Good luck to you. Feel free to message me with questions!
  • My aunt was told she couldn't get pregnant period. Well she now has twin boys and let me tell you the time she conceived was when they stopped stressing! Stress Plays Abig role on baby making!! Although I do not advise in drugs "for better chance of having twins etc."my aunt did take the kind just for trying to concieve. And they worked...I'm guessing cause the twins are now here! Ha good luck %%-
  • Why don't you switch fertility doctors? It may do your body some good... obviously what your doc is doing now isn't working. Do some research, ask around... maybe there is a fertility doctor close to you that can offer some new, fresh ideas. I know 2 people who got pregnant within the first month of switching fertility docs... it can't hurt.

Good luck to u 2 bd***** %%- @ new_baby_in_oct wow, yes I am having similar symptoms, its just so weird that I just came off af 3 days ago & had sex last night (sorry tmi) & now I'm experiencing bleeding :-/ :( Congrats on your bundle :)
  • @jay_brad I was against taking any meds for fertility but clomid is to help regulate af & produce ovulation. After 17 months of ttc I am willing to do anything as ling as its safe ;) @1_mama_squared I thought about that, but there aren't very many in my area. Actually none in my area, I drive an hour to get to my fertility dr :( However I have 3 drs working close w/ me & each one is in contact w/ each other, & this makes me feel better. Thank-you! @SaylorsMommy Thank you! I will check into it, & u weren't butting in ;) Thanks for the info! @mommyofsoon2b2 Thank you, we will see if this 2nd round of 100mg. helps ovulation occur....I though it was ovulating before but apparently not :-/
