Hard to say...spotting is not the same as period. Give it some More time to observe . I had light spotting throughout the first trimester. It will lighten up and stop before the second trimester.
I'm spotting and 5 weeks also and I've had 3 miscarriages and an ectopic. Spotting can be normal but sometimes it isn't. If it gets harder then go to the doctor. Or if you have any abdominal pain
