  • I am totally in the same boat. I own an ice cream shop and we close for Jan and Feb in the winter which has been amazing being pregnant since all that time I didn't really have to do anything. Now since we have opened back up I am working ALL the time trying to save money and it is really exhausting. It was exhausting before I was pregnant but this is a whole other level. I feel bad but I just don't have patience for anyone right now. I don't want to be known as the grumpy ice cream lady... :(
  • Oh man that sucks girl I'm so glad I don't have to work. But I seariouly cannot even imagine dealing with people either I guess just when u feel like your gonna burst go outside or in the freezer for some allone secconds. Goof luck girl. :)
  • Haha yes I spend a lot of time "taking inventory" just to get away. You are super lucky you don't have to work. Is this your first? I am looking forward to getting bussier then I will hire some help. Its a really small shop so I know once my belly gets bigger I'm going to have a hard time moving around back there. My hubby will have to take over the main opperations sooner than he thinks. Hehe
  • LOL no this is my seccond but its been seven years and I was 17 and allot healthier so it was like a billion times easier is this your first?
  • Oh lord I just spend my off days sleeping. I feel bad because I did practically all of the household chores. Most of the dishes, all the laundry, cleaning, and vacuuming. And now my man is realizing that he has to do it or it won't get done. Sometimes he gets frustrated with me, but then he apologizes and asks how I'm doing before I can work myself up into too much of a rage.
  • @finallypregnant2 Yes this is my first. Everyone knows it too and is super supportive. If I feel like I'm being impatient with a customer I try to casually slip it in that I'm expecting and hope they understand. My next move is to stock up on the funny pregnancy t-shirts with the "pregzilla" & "I'm pregnant. What's your excuse" to make a joke out of it. Seriously though I feel bad but some customers are so out there I just can't take it! One lady asked me yesterday for the espresso ice cream then tried it and said " Oh I didn't know this was coffee flavored." Seriously?!?!?
  • Yea I get allot of help from my husband too when he can he is so sweet but does get frustrated with it too don't worry though I'm shire he knows he's doing it for you and you didn't get pregnant all by yourself. :)
  • Lmao OMG that is so funny girl I had a shirt in my last that said it started with a kiss and ended like this with a downward arrow what a stupid person I would just probably laugh at them but I'm kindof a bitch like that seariously that is awesome totally made my day
  • I am so tired all the time but can't rest cause I have 3 other kids that are 3,4and6.

Oh man I love just having the one although my husband works 10s so he's home 3days and his mom and dad live with us and they help allot so I do get to rest I just wish I wasn't so tired all the time I just want energy so bad
  • I'm tired all the time too. I work PRN as a hospital nurse which means 12 hour shifts on my feet the whole time. SUCKS. And I'm dealing with sick people the whole time, so it's not like they're in the best mood either. Thankfully I'm not working full-time. And my husband and I have decided for me to stop working altogether unless they get really desperate and beg me at the last minute to work a shift, and I'll only take it if I feel up for it.

I'm also going to grad school full-time, but my classes are all online. That makes it a bit easier. School was starting to suffer, so no more work and all school now!

I am very grateful for my situation. I CAN NOT imagine having to work full-time and/or having young kids at home too.
