Now that I think about it all of my girls were smaller than my boys (except 1 boy who was early), I wonder if that makes a difference? I'm positive gestational age has a lot to do with it though. All my 9 pounders were over due.
@wilsomom I can't imagine having 9 pounder that gotta do some danage my hubby was 9 pounds 3 oz so with my first I kept thinking I was gonna have big baby after him lol
@jules yeah my last one who was my biggest (9lb. 11oz) had shoulder dystosia real bad...he also had the cord around his neck which had to be cut right before his shoulder got stuck. He was grey, my husband thought he was dead it.. was pretty scary. I'm surprised he didn't break his collar bone like 2 of my others did. I only tore real bad with my first, which was my smallest, go figure. Lol
My dr said they usually get bigger the more kids you have. Not always obviously but that's what she sees. My first was a boy 7.1 at 40+3 my second was a girl 8.2 at 39+4
@perly When I was 34 weeks with my son they told me he was huge and that he weighed 5#14oz...he was born 26 days later and weighed 6#7oz so the tech was way off.
