I get this stick of 100% pure cocoa butter. I had super bad stretch marks with my first and used that stuff for a few months. Unless you really look you can't see them that well ne more. It's a yellow tube with a stick, not lotion, in it and its like a dollar. I've only been able to find it a walgreens
Last preggo u used vit e and bio oil...trick to oils is getting one with a molecular weight that is small....otherwise it will just sit on skin. I'm using Avocado oil now while preggo. Go to health food store and they will help find best. If u do vit e th9 don't waste $$$ on capsule cuz its too thick
@kkmommy I got lucky!! My mom was tore up with them! None for me my cousin also didn't get any. We have the same skin. We both have tattoos and ours always heal fast w no problems. I used a Shea butter body wash and cream from bath and body works spa line everyday! Not sure of that helped or I just had good genes but definitely keep those bellies moist!!
At first I was just using bio oil but it's just so expensive. Now I mix bio oil and tummy butter together twice a day. It feels great and I have yet to get stretch marks...only a few weeks to go in my pregnancy.
I used Palmers concentrated cocoa butter for stretch marks twice a day through my first pregnancy & the only place I got any stretch marks was the underside of my breats- which is the only place I DIDN'T put it! Lol- I think genetics play a good part of it, but I don't believe there's nothing you can do! Like someone said above- keep it moist & you'll come out okay... good luck!
I've been using palmers tummy butter/lotion and I love it and I don't have stretch marks. I really like that it doesn't smell like cocoa butter! My stomach itches like crazy tho..I'm deathly afraid to scratch LOL
Woop I just ordered bio oil off ebay the biggest size for only 7pound much cheaper than local stores I'm literally swimming in the stuff at moment my whole bodys covered but bio oil deffo helped and lightened the marks feeling more confident! Just thought I'd fill you in with my bargain of the day and as my mother in law says I can buy two bottles and only pay for the one gotta love it
I used celtrixa and it worked a little, but u can't use it during pregnancy...stretch marks are hereditary, i dont think u can't prevent them if you're destined to get them, but can minimize them with the moisturizers mentioned, the key is too use them generously and frequently! I also heard to resist scratching your tummy.
In the first two weeks they started going thin and light the stretch marks your ment to do it twice day but I do it the once, makes your tummy feel realy nice too and has not got horrible smell, i could not cope with out stuff now love it made me realy happy and confident about my body
Coconut tummy butter is so great! I love using it. I love to bathe at night just to rub my whole body w it before bed it just feels great n I feel the moisture til next use.
I heard its mostly in your genes and if you have some already than you'll most likely get them on your belly. It also depends on the rate of gaining weight. It helps to gain it gradually. I'm screwed, my Mom has them bad and I already had some on my thighs but I'm still buttering up like crazy!
Well I ahve heard from plastic surgeons that when it comes to stretch marks, whether by pregnancy or weight gain, your wither born to get them or born not to. It just depends on how much elasticity you have. I had my 1st baby when I when I was 19 and got tones of stretch marks. I don't mind them now, just knowing that it came from me having my baby so it was a good thing. There are creams that can possibly help fade them some but they are never completely gone. They a scars froms skin being stretched so they are with you for life, but I wore my bikinis still and if it bothered someone they hey don't look at them. At least it came from something wonderful and so amny women have them more than we know. I have a friend who she has had 2 kids and she got tons of stretch marks, but yet her sister who has had 4 kids not a single one. So it babsically comes down to genetics. Use the creams to ease the tightness and itchy feeling, but rememeber to not always believ in what you see on T.V., they are trying to sell you their product. So somethings may help with them to fade in color but they are there forever, but its a beautiful reminder of why you have them. And I've never had any man or woman who thought they were grossed out or thought they were terrible to look at. Your not the only one with them, I guess we have to embrase them. lol. Good luck on the creams and oils, if any really do help diminish the looks of them let me know. I'll try it out myself it really does work. Good luck and God bless all you mommies.
