who has a phobia??? (not baby related)

edited March 2011 in Just for Fun
I have a phobia its called "textures, repetitive pattern phobia" its like when I see something that gives me goosebumps or chills I become obsessed with it. I can't stand the sight of weird looking lines, dots, bumps, a lot of holes in a weird pattern. overall anything gross to me. Does anyone else have this problem????

  • @mommylovesyou maybe i have tht too. I stare at the pattern my skin makes on my knee. Or weird patterns tht make me uncomfortable
  • But i have the worst fear of heights. Thinking ant it makes me sweat. I cant even look at sky scarpers cuz i imagine myself hanging off the roof of em. N i live in NYC

  • @lucky7 ive been living here my entire life! N i still feel the same. Even tho i love my city, its so beautiful but im still deathly afraid of heights. Good thing we always lived in houses instead of apt buildings.
n the bx zoo is gorgeous in the summer but its always packed wit a load of ppl lol
  • My biggest fear is to be kidnapped or I guess adultnapped
  • @ProudMommie627 how is it in say September or october?Im due Aug10th so I need some time to heal b4 I go walking around all day, lol.I don't have a phobia of crowds but I just hate them another reason why I don't go to the city.it is beautiful though.have u ever been to Rockland county or orange county
  • I have a pretty bad phobia of needles. I almost was not allowed to graduate high school because I refused to get the last portions of my vaccinations. This is coming from a future registered nurse! I absolutely hate them, and I go into near panic attacks any time I have to get them. The only time I do not try to negotiate my way out of getting a shot or having my blood drawn is when I am simply too sick to move.
  • Anything that looks like a behive. Hives holes cells watever u call if I get goosebumps and I start breathing hard lol
  • @lucky7 early sept yea but not too sure abt october bcuz once it gets cold they put a lot of animals away so u dnt get to see much. N i still dnt like huge crowds lmao tht whole confronting ur fear thing is a load of crap
n no i would love to! I have a friend frm rockland. Im dying to move out of the city after i have my baby i love living here but i dnt really want to raise my daughter here. I want her to have a yard to play in where i dnt have to worry too much abt her and a beautiful house n i jus dnt see it happening where i am now
  • My phobia is the Ocean just the thought of falling right in the middle of open Sea makes my heart race... Weird:/
  • The dark .bein alone .spiders .mice.n bein trapped or like held down.
  • Bees!! I got attacked when I was little so now I'm terrified of em.
  • My biggest phobia is snakes I am terrified!! Ihave nightmares and wake up screaming and its really bad I wish I could go to the maury show for them to help me with my phobia!!! Hahahaha that was a funny show!!
  • Mine is fast flowing, white-water rapids & large waterfalls. I imagine myself going over a large waterfall into swirling rapids below, being sucked under & drowning. It terrifies me, but I LOVE water, at the same time. I can swim well, & have done so in pools, lakes, streams, & the ocean. But anytime I start to see rapids, my palms sweat & I get panicked. It's weird as hell!
  • Clowns!! I am 31yrs old and they scare me to the point of tears. If my child ever wants to go too the circus my hubby will have to take them.
  • The dark (glad to see I'm not the only one) and small spaces. I watched a documentary about pregnancy and they depicted inside the womb. I about had a panic attack thinking about my crammed baby. I just have to consciously not think about it. I don't like to feel my babies move either because it just reminds me how tight it is in there.
  • mine was the knock at the door while I was married to a soldier. Now its only one.. Durring a natural delivery... Dieing. And when I had my son i thought it was coming true... So im beyond scared this time.
  • Feet and needles. And as much blood as they draw, I should be used to it but I cry every time lol and feet make me wanna puke! My fiancée has to use a different blanket than me cuz if his feet touch me I freak out lol
  • Claustrofobia (sp) but i hate being in small places or held down i panic wen the blanket gets too close to covering my face
  • @duckyysagal wow that phobia touched my heart love! But don't u even worry one bit you and ur baby are going to be just fine!!!
  • I fear roaches, dogs, horses, mice & drowning.
  • I'm married to a soldier so id have to say that dreadful knock on the door....but I have a very irrational phobia of feet, I am deathly afraid of them....I've ended up in thee hospital due to panic and anxiety attacks from people putting their feet any where near me....I get made fun of a lot because of it
  • I sleep with my feet off the bed with sicks and no blankets...I have a seperate towel to dry my feet after a shower, clean socks go on beore anything including underwear....and when hubby is home he has to wear socks to bed, and sleep with his feet off the bed outside the blankets and I they touch me he knows I freak out and will cry
  • I'm dramatically scared of jelly. You know the wibberly wobberly stuff you eat? Yep it scares the hell out of me.. makes me cringe and freak out and I have no idea why.. feel sorry for ny boys as there's no way there ever have it around me lol
  • Heights! I have asthma attacks in high places. And I'm afraid of escalators, so when I go to the mall I take the stairs while my husband takes the escalators.
  • Spiders... I can't even look at one on the TV. Like the giant ones in Harry Potter or the Lord of the Rings? The second I know it's coming on I'm looking away. I'm afraid of them levitating in mid air, or flying or biting.
