Boyfriend blamed me for previous miscarriage

Ok so im 5 weeks 4 days..me and my boyfriend was having a conversation about the baby kicking. I stated that I hoped I made in that far(because im afraid of having a miscarriage.) He says "well as long as you take care of yourself and the baby then you wont have a miscarriage." I tell him that its not about what you do or dont do..more often than not, miscarriages just happen. He replies "uh huh." I had a miscarriage about a year & a half ago..so I ask him if he thinks that my previous miscarriage was my fault and he says "yep" and then kinda of giggles as he walked to the kitchen. I immediately got teary eyed. Do you think im overreacting? He may have been joking but I dont find that a joking matter. It really hurt me for him to feel that way. Especially because im so early on now so I obviously still worry about miscarring again.

    He's wrong to even joke about it being your fault. If you feel like you can't talk to him about it, make him read it in any book about expecting mothers and miscarriage. And if he still doesn't listen....I have my ideas, none of which are appropriate to say. In all honesty, be probably doesn't understand, so get him he information he needs to understand it better.

    How can anyone joke about a mc. That'd awful. I cry when people even talk about mine:( im so sorry hun!! I hope you make it this time! Then he cam blame you for a perfect baby in 9 months;)

    I do believe he was joking because he has never mentioned it before but I just dont think it was funny. I left the room when he said it and I kinda expected him to at least come ask me what was wrong. But you know these men are clueless.

    @kara_lamek..it was definently no joking matter to me. It made me cry. It just makes me worry about this pregnancy more. Thanks for the support. I hope I make it too. My last miscarriage was at 4 weeks so I have gotten a week & a half further than last time. Im hoping thats a good sign.

    I had a mc feb1st of this year! I was 6w2d.. I got blamed for mine in a non joking manner! My fiances family are all idiots! As long as YOU know the truth that's all that matters! No problem babe. Don't get too frustrated!

    I had a miscarriage before and I'm now pregnant he made a comment like This time don't punch ya self to have a miscarriage I flipped like r you serious dude. Ugh men

    @ginaa412...oh wow..that is definently overboard. I dont know if I would have cryed or went off on him(you never know what to expect with these hormones.lol)
