  • If I have a boy he will be circumcised...daddy is...and so is daddys oldest son....its easier to clean...and as an adult he will be more comfortable with himself.....I personally think all that foreskin on a potential lover is gross...don't want woman of the future thinking its gross on my son.....my uncle had it done as an adult and said the pain was horrendous....yet none else remembers it as a newborn...

  • Everybody has their own opinion...i remember going with my mom to take my brother to do it...it musta been a few days or weeks after he was born...i will never forget the screams that came out of his mouth...i thought they were killing him :'( I was 6 at the time & I remember crying with him...it was intense...also, there was this kid in my high school that ended up doing it...he came back to school in cruches!!!! I would suggest that if u wanna do it, dont wait to long...do it a few days or weeks after he's born...
  • I have a little boy and we decided to circumcise. They did it the morning of the day we came home from hospital. All you do is put neosporin and in less than a week he was fine! It is all your decision, but I rather have done it while he's small and don't remember ..good luck! Any decision you make will be good! :)
  • I agree that it is mutilation and will not do it. I thought I would last time simply bc my hsbd is but had a girl. Since then have done the research. The idea of female circumcision is horrible and violent and I feel the same about my unborn son.
  • Where I am from it is the norm to be circumcised. I've never seen one that wasn't. My husband is and my baby boy will be too. It wasn't even a question that was brought up between us. I don't want him to feel like he's different.
  • I think God put it there and it doesn't bother anyone really and most ppl get stds from sleeping around lol I think in the future if they have safe sex they won't get an std because of a foreskin. My husband has it and all his bros and my bros and there kids and they r all healthy and happy :) so I say keep it .
  • My fiance laughs when I tell him about the STD myth and the hygiene isn't any different then having to clean a little girls privates ..... he says clean it! Not that hard... not anymore of less unclean!

My boy Def will. Where I am, its very uncommon NOT to have it done. I feel bad for the teenagers that get made fun of :( I have nothing against it though. Just my choice(:
  • I think its becomming more and more common never herd of anyone getting made fun of maybe different generation.
  • @ghettobetty I'm 30 and have never seen an uncircumcised one. Its probably just where we are located.
  • It's more high school age. I just graduated this past year so I'm still young. Maybe its just my generation "/ I'm sure as the boys get older its not that big of a deal though

  • Or location yes I'm 26 and never had anyone get made fun of in highschool for it...
  • Plz get him circumcised b cuz he can get bacteria n get infected
  • I really have no personal contact with anyone that is not but my husband said if we have a son we will have him circumcised no questions asked his grandfather was not and has had a lot of problems the older he got
  • I feel like me not getting him cut will make him want to be cleaner though just because of the risk of infections and what not. Anyone can get an infection but it depends on how clean they are period
  • Circumcise. My fiancee isn't, but our son is. He said the amount of crap he went through growing up, just wasn't worth it. Plus, unfortunately, the amount of bacteria he harbors because of being uncircumcised, allows for an increase in yeast infections, UTI's and a flare up of Bacterial Vaginosis for me. If we have another boy, he will undoubtedly be circumcised.
  • Its funny cause you don't hear of guys getting made fun of for being circumcised.
  • I know a guy that will not have sex because he is embarrsed of not brig circumcised
  • My father had to be circumcised when he was a teenager. He was having medical issues and it was recommended by his doctor. He said he was furious at his parents for not doing it at birth because it was very painful later in life. I'm not sure what I would do, but I'm leaning towards circumcision at birth if we have a boy, simply because I don't want my little one to go thru what my dad did.
