  • Makes me feel better too especially with all these crazy emotions she's right there to comfort me :)
  • My puppy just licks me all the time! I hate having to wah my hands everytime. He even has to follow me into the bathroom now or else he'll cry at the door. He is usually the run around wild type but now he is acting so baby-ish
  • Well my dogs always been a big Kisser! Just in her nature but I have noticed she dosent sleep on her bed any more she's back in my bed I don't mind too much though
  • I think my cats noticed lol there acting alt more snugly..my pit I think is having a hysterical pregnancy or she's pregnant too but she's ben out of heat for so long I think shed done have rm or be bigger..anyone heard of your pregnancy causing a dog to have a hysterical pregnancy?
  • This random dog just started crying and running from me lol
  • My pit does the same thing, constantly following me around, trying to lay anyway he can so that he touches me. Very reassuring but annoying at the same time lol can't wait for this baby, he's so gentle and cautious around babies that it's sweet and he loves kids since their faces reach his and they give him treats lol. I love my dog :)
  • Aww that's amazing! ! I don't have an animal and don't want one ..lollol, but its amazing how protective they are over your unborn! ! God is amazing though, so figures! ;;)
  • My cat normally wont come near me, but now, every time i move, there she is, waiting for me to sit or lay down so she can lay on my belly...
  • My pit knew I was pregnant before I did. He would follow me all over the house. Wen im on the toilet hes sitting next to me, when im in the shower he lays in front of the shower door, hes my body guard but it does get annoying. When I lock him out my room he lays with his butt to my door n hits his tail to the door like hes knocking for me to let him in lol
  • OMG!!! So many pits!!! I love it! That's my favorite breed. My mush doesn't have a clue...:(
  • My Shiba Inu mix and coon hound follow me everywhere. If I turn around to suddenly I trip on them.

And my little Shiba, Angel, is even more protective than before. She even stands guard while I (try to) poop, or she'll curl up between my legs and the tub or pot. She's been a lot more cuddly than she ever was before. She used to be real big on her personal bubble. The other night she slept curled up next to me for most of the night.

But the big Poops, my hound, is just a big goof ball. And I think he only follows me because Angel does. He's always been cuddly. But I do wish he was more careful around me. 65 lbs of galloping, bouncing hound freaks me out lately.
  • My spoiled lap dog is clingy anyway. I'm just curious to see what happens when baby gets here. Most dogs are protective, but she may see competition in the baby.
  • I have a female pit and she has been very clingy and whining like shes a baby. And she has been sleeping under my bed. I want her to have a litter but it would be a lil to much for me now.
  • My Boston terrier LOVES my husband but for the past few months he's favored me and he loves snuggling my tummy.
  • Anyone heard of a dog training class to prep them for a baby?? Pitbulls used to be called Nanny dogs but my dog is a huge baby I'm worried that she will get jealous I have two other dogs that want nothing to do with me because how my dog gets when they are to close
  • Both my cats wana lay on my belly now. Never cared to before.
  • When my bf leaves for work in the morning my belgium shepard takes one side of me and my cats take the other. Its so adorable. Its like they protect me now when he is gone
  • Hi, as someone who works with dogs, and owns dogs, and im also 12 weeks 3 days pregnant. i have 3 dogs all small dogs and they have been acting very clingy as well. its normal. so dont worry. when we arent pregnant our body has a smell our animals are used to. when we get pregnant our bodies release farmones (spelling?) so to our pets our bodies smell different. one of my dogs just has to, i mean JUST HAS TO follow me into the washroom every single time i go pee. she is not spayed and has a motherly instinct. she brings me her toys and wont jump up on my belly like she would do if i wasnt pregnant. my other female she is a poodle, follows me EVERYWHERE. she also knows not to jump up onto my belly but instead climbs up onto me very carefully and lays between my legs on the couch resting her head on my lower belly. so luckily our dogs are taking the pregnancy as a positive thing. but i have had a friend whos friend was pregnant and her dog wanted to kill her when she was pregnant. so basically every dog acts different. so dont be worried.
  • @rocknmomma any good trainer would be able to help you for that. its not that the dog needs to be trained for baby but your typical dominance training will help once your baby arrives. simple things you can do to make doggy used to being in last place. feed your dog after every human has been fed in your household. dont let ur dog enter or leave rooms before you. keep them off the furniture. if you keep up with it ur dog will learn that it is not in first place. if you can get your hands on about 6 bean bags you can use them along with a loud growl sound from your voice to help teach your dog these things. for example the entering rooms your dog should be behind you. you would use a bean bag if your dog steps in front of your feet you will slam a bean bag on the floor infront of your dogs feet along with a loud growl sound coming from you. do not use the dogs name. if the dog backs up you praise and say good girl/boy. if the dog continues to walk forward slam another bean bag down on the floor infront of the dogs feet and repeat. do not use the same bean bag you just threw the first time. leave it on the floor (that is why you will need a bunch of them. this works too for keeping the dog off the furniture as well. instead in this case when the dog goes to jump up on the couch just say, you are gonna throw the bean bag infront of the dog onto the couch and use the growl. eventually you wont need to use the bean bags anymore just your vocal growl. your dog will pick up very quickly if you keep up with it and keep it firm. basically what you are doing is teachiing the dog in its own language. how alpha dog controls its pack in the wild. hope this helps!!
  • My 6 month old German Shepherd, Roscoe, follows me every where as well. When I'm laying up in bed, sick to my stomach in the morning, he is right there with me, laying in a big ball in the crest of my legs behind me. When my husband comes home from work, Roscoe sits up and becomes very alert but doesn't leave my side. Before I became pregnant, he was loving, but not even close to as clingy/living as he is now. He use to always get up excitedly when my husband would get home, and wait by the door. I love the attention, but sometimes it can be smothering. Especially when I'm having heat flashes!
  • Ya all four of my dogs follow me everywhere and try to get belly time my husky eats my underwear which is gross but I founf out she did it to the previous owner when she was pregnant too!
  • My moms Chihuahua always lays on my stomach when I go to her house but my boy shih tzu acts the same as he did before I think the girls kno bcuz u smell different down there lol
  • I have a male dog and he acts differently now. It's most likely just your dogs personality. Or maybe my dog us just a special guy. He is like my baby. <3
