natural vs. c-section (rant)

edited March 2011 in Giving birth
I can't stand the question "are you going to do natural child birth or a c-section" like if I have to get a c-section its no longer natural? If people didn't ask it like a c-section is the worst possible thing it wouldn't bother me, but im so tired of hearing this question. I will do whatever is the best and safest for my baby, and I wont feel like any more or less of a woman/mother with one way or the next. Plus I really don't think its anyone goddamn business how I plan to deliver my baby!! I was asked this question twice today and I am beyond frustrated. Had to let it out :)

  • PEople are annoying! I would just smile and say "we will just have to see what happens"...& leave it at that!
  • If it were me I would say jus that "is that any of ur god damn business how I plan to deliver n wat makes a c-section so unnatural?" Or I would tell them the safest way nice n bland lol
  • I'm doing c section this time got 2 emergency ones before! This time I want things as smooth as possible its my last one :) don't care what people think.
  • People just amaze me lol.
  • "I'm actually going to try this new birthing method in which they pull the baby out of your anus."

  • When I was in the hospital havingy planned scheduled csection with my son... keep in mind the same hospital id toured, chosen, and taken multiple classes at, the hospital I fought my dr to deliver at because it was are from his office, in this hospital I was denied a birthing room by a nurse because "Birthing rooms are for wemon who give birth" so I spent my stay on the pediatric ward are from the nursery and in a room which provided nowhere for my mom who was with me to sleep. Kicking myself for choosing that stupid hospital. People are soooo caught up on this new trend ofall natural and the true expirence... so stupid I mean I have a healthy child I wouldn't have otherwise gotten had I labored "naturally" oh and guess what else I was done in half an hour and never even sweated LOL and no month ling period either ha!
  • Haha I had to have an emergency c-section my 1st sons heart rate was in the doctors words way past dangerously low so I had a c-section of course!!!!! 2 hours later I was told by my Monster-IN LAW that I was the furthest thing from a woman because I had done so.....I told her if I had not my son would not have made it and then had her sent out to the room and she didn't come back around for 3weeks..... people are crazy as long as the baby is safe it SHOULDN'T matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I agree with @Twin_Angels thanks for making me smile :) people just have no sence of decency or couth when it comes to adding their two cents in to someone elses pregnancy.
