brodysmammayour welcome. I hope when I have a little girl (hopefully the next one in a few years) big bows and flowers are still popular I love them! maybe I should stock up on them now until I do one day have a girl haha jk

rockinmommaHaha thats definitely the fun part about girls, dress up! I will continue to put her in frilly, flowery outfits until she's old enough to complaint. Lol :)

They said his heart was fine but he's measuring a little small and his legs are measuring a little short I have a 1/148 chance of him having down syndrome and can either opt for or against the amino test and can have it done at anytime during my pregnancy
Nervous there's a chance of miscarriage or early birth but its but not very high although its still a chance so I might wait til later
I was really happy they said his heart was fine just kinda nervous still about the risk of DS b/c I didn't have to do or deal with this with my daughter and at that I'm doing it alone
Her dad doesn't know anything about this baby he doesn't know how far he doesn't know the baby is at risk or anything all he knows is I'm pregnant again and if I could have his support it would be so much easier to deal with like just ask for updates go to important appts and/or help with the baby girl that's already here -
rockinmommaWell thats awesome his hearts looking good. If you're going to get an amnio I wouldn't wait. The longer you wait the less room the drs have to work with. I just got mine done 3/14 @ 24wks and I had to be admitted to the hospital for over 4 hrs. It sucked. If I had gotten it done earlier I could of had it done at the drs office and it would have just been a quick in and out. The procedure itself really isn't bad at all. The needle is so small and you barely feel a thing, you do get a weird crampy feeling when it hits your uterus tho. Im going through my pregnancy alone too, so I know how hard it is. My babies dad wants nothing to do with her or me, all he knows is im pregnant and its a girl. Men can be such douche bags.

Zbutt_MomThey really suck majorly but in the ends it's there lost not our its although its tough and difficult and even more tough if you loved the guy I won't wait too long just til if the sac ruptures they have a chance of saving the baby which in but too far away ima talk with my big cousin and see what her opinions are b/c she gives me great advice and helps me in a lot of things I'm so afraid ima jump when the needle goes in because I HATE shots needles etc I jump every time they take my blood and I had got a shot in my tummy not a few months ago and I jumped
How bad are the cramps and how bad was it when the needle went through?? -
rockinmommaIt was nothing. That needle is so thin I didn't even know it went through. I just kept my eyes on the ultrasound screen. The crampy feeling you get isn't painful its just...weird feeling lol. The amnio was probably one of the least painful procedure with a needle that I've ever had. And its the greatest feeling when you get the results back and everything is normal.

Like can they get DNA? Know the exact sex of the baby? Etc..
How long did it take for them to do the procedure after deciding you wanted it? And why'd you have to be admitted? -
rockinmommaThey withdraw amniotic fluid which has cells from the baby. They test the cells and look at all the chromosomes for genetic abnormalities, like downs syndrome, spina bifida, and other syndromes. They can also tell you 100% what the sex is. The procedure itself takes 5 minutes. I was admitted for safety reasons. The longer you wait the bigger the baby gets so the less room they have to work with which means a higher chance of something going wrong.
