  • my friend had her period up to 6 months so its normal just as long as the doc says everything is ok no need to worry xxx
  • You don't get periods during pregnancy. You can't release an egg. Talk to your Dr cause blood is bad. If you read anything about pregnancy it says to go in if you bleed. Better safe than sorry. I never bled with my first and this one twice after sex and it was a light pink spot when wiped. I'm sorry but you can't have a period. If u see blood clots that's extremely bad.
  • Theres a few women ive heard of still having a period whilst pregnant & everythings been fine. Its not impossible, just very rare. As long as your docs happy it should be fine
  • Ok the real question here is what does the period look like. Is it heavy like a usual period for u or is it just light spotting. I had spotting off and on with both my pregnancy. This one was off and on for 2wks. I may not be a period more likely your body reacting to the pregnancy. You can bleed when the placta attaches to the wall. As long as its not heavy red blood with clots and severe cramps you should be fine. Something doc exams and sex can causes irration to th cervix. Good luck.
  • U can get a period while pregnant....think of tthose women who.have their periods for nine months and they didnt kno.they was pregnant. And they give birth to a healthy baby

  • My friend only found out she was pregnant just before she hit 8 months coz she had periods up until then x
  • My fiancees aunt had 'periods' right through 4 of her pregnancies with no problems an the babies were fine! As long as the docs say ur ok an u listen to ur body!
  • No doctor should tell you that you have your "period" it is NOT a period. A period sheds the lining of your uterus and disposes of your unused egg. If your uterus lining was being shed, you wouldn't have a baby because the baby attaches to the uterine wall. Spotting is not uncommon at all during pregnancy, but it should never be bright red and as heavy as a period, it will be lighter. It even says the on the show 'i didn't know I was pregnant" the doctors that talk on there tell you, its IMPOSSIBLE to have an actual "period" while pregnant. Iam obsessed with that show. Lol. If you are having bleeding, just monitor it and make sure your doctor is monitoring it as well. :) best of luck hun and congrats on your pregnancy!
  • I still had mine once for both pregnancy s
  • My mom had her period up until 6 months with me so ya yu can

I have to agree with @mommyoftwoprincesses on top of that you cervix opens during your period so the lining and blood can be expel which would be more the result in a m/c. Your bleeding probably came from the cervix being iretated. since you are early you had a transvaginal ultrasound were your doctor entered something in your vagina so you might even got a pap smear done as well. even sex could cause light bleeding or spotting.
  • It's your cervix bleeding. Not a period. But it is common
  • You dont have your period when pregnant, since you dont release an egg. You have irregular bleeding, which is more common than you think.
  • I was bleeding every few weeks for the first 4 months with my 2nd. Ultrasound showed a slight amount of blood stuck between the placenta and uterus. Dr. said it probably happened early and i would continue to bleed until all the blood was gone. It was fine...not a period...just monitor it for heavy, excessive, or more than just blood.
  • Yeah my mom had bleeding, almost as much as a period, the first 3 months she was preg with me... And I turned out just fine. But I wouldn't worry too much if the dr is aware of it and says its ok. If you get any cramping though, I would give them a call :) good luck and congrats.
  • My mom had period like bleeding right on time with her cycle for 6 months it is common but not considered period
