I breastfed my last til 22months and it was perfect. She has only been sick like 2 times and she is almost 3 now...I returned to work at 12 weeks and pumped for her at work. It can be done, just a little more effort!
I think breastfeeding is the biggest gift u can give ur baby I work full time have a toddler an eight year old and a teen and I am planning on breast feeding for a year at least...when I come back to work I will be pumping as I did before..nursing pads work believe me... I had my teen at 19 and I breast fed him for 2 years is good for them
I bf my first for 17 months. When she was able to give it a name, it was time for me to stop. Regarding teeth, if you react in a way that startles baby, they totally won't bite again. First time, I reacted on instinct: popped her on the back of the head. Not what I would have done if my brain had engaged first... But it worked and didn't really hurt her. Second (and last) time was several months later. I yelled ouch! And it scared her.
Breastfed for about 14 months with my daughter and had to wean her because of bad morning sickness. But I hope breastfeed longer with baby boy or until he wants to eat big people food on his own.
I have rheumatoid arthritis and managed 8 and a half weeks before I had to go back on meds which I couldn't breastfeed on. Was gutted to stop but a day or two is better than nothing!
