  • not if you have been around them before...Just watch when the baby is born and make sure it says out of the crib cause cats like milk and the babys breath and mouth will smell like it and it could get in the crib and accidently smother the baby
  • Yes make sure that your infant door is close away from the cat cos my sister had lost her daughter from the cat taking her baby breath n left her heart breakin. So I wouldn't mind havin a dog around da baby but no cat sorry but I love cats jus not now
  • Yep i have a calm dog and thats what i sticking with i used to have two cats and wheni came home from the hospital with my 1st they were in the bassinet so i got rid of them asap like literally put them out the front door!! I like cats too but not now
  • Ok what about.a.,1yr old.do u think a cat will. Do the same ...cuz a yr old will be be able to push it off rite...
  • I Have 3 cats. With my last baby we just closed our door when we went to sleep. We've been sleeping with the door open when she was 4 months. Now shes 7 months and they don't bother her. If they get in her crib she pulls there hair. just be careful in the beginning.
  • oh yeah with a one year old your fine they will definatly defend themselves at that point by what snreda said pulling hair and once they can roll over they can move away from them
  • yeah you really just have to watch it for a cople of months with a newborn cause the cats will want to check them out and see whats going on and can accidently take babys breath
  • Ok when the new baby is here ill be.extra careful am just concerned about my 1yr old rite now
  • Can I absoluetly NOT scoop the litter box??? My hubby won't do it. It me or no one =/ would wearing a dust. Mask help?
  • I knw ur not suppose to at all it can cus a serious dieseas
  • You also wanna make sure the cat doesn't scratch you either...cats can carry the litter/feces under their claws and if they scratch you, you have a chance of getting sick. Which is actually worse than cleaning the litter box itself.
  • yeah if you have to clean it wear a dust mask and gloves and wash your hands right after...and make sure the cat stays in the house so it does not pick anything up from outside and mammaof2 you 1 yr old will be fine i had a cat when my son was 1 and he definatly defended him self from it lol
  • I heard somewhere you can get a special net to keep cats out of your babies crib/bassinet ....also maybe try to train the cat now not to get into babies bed maybe with w water gun...I have 2 cats one witch I know will be a hassle..he sleeps around me and my boyfriends neck I just keep thinking OMG he can't do that to my baby!
