  • A glass of wine will not hurt your pregnancy, I def. Wouldn't do anymore than that especially since your still in the 1st trimester.
  • Some ppl will say yes cause I heard french women to this day still drink wine when they r pregnant but I believe its cause wine is more fresh but america puts a lot of shit in wine so I would tell you no........but that's just my opinion
  • It is really preference, my OBGYN says a glass of wine is fine.
  • Yea the doctor told me a glass of red* wine is fine I've had a couple so I would say its OK.. but its just what you wanna do!
  • I have never got drunk and have only sipped on small drinks! I HATE beer its disgusting, but I have never had wine and would like to have one small glass for my 21st bday cuz my husband wants to take me wine tasting!
  • Yea I would say its fine but u could always ask your doctor
  • 11 Weeks is too early to have wine. My doc gave me the go ahead at 16 weeks with my 1st to have a glass or 2 a week.
  • I have had a glass or two and it was glorious
  • I miss wine and champagne. I read that some women cheat and have a small glass at the end of their pregnancy. But double check with your doctor. :o
  • Okie dokie, when my bday comes around I will be in my second trimester! My bday is on vday!
  • My doctor told me no alcohol as it can't be proven which glass could cause fetal alcohol syndrome not saying ur a bad person if you do but I kno how you feel I turned 21 jan seventh and could only drink soda and water
  • I am just gonna do what's best for the baby, I don't want to risk anything!
  • Plus in a few months you can go out fora belated bday drink
  • If you breast feed make sure you do a pump and dump after drinking tho :p
  • Deff.. I wanted to breast feed with my first but after I got out the hospital I got mastis for 2 months and it dried me out :-(
  • O sorry hun
  • IIm preg wit my 5th.some drs say 1glass of red wine is ok some say none at all.ive also heard towards the end of preg ive nvr heard at begining bc that's when the baby is starting to develop.I was preg my 21st bday and my bday is new years eve.it is hard but its not about u anymore its about whts best for ur baby.u can celebrate after baby is born:) I always thought wht if something did happen to baby. U don't want to live wit that guilt for the rest of ur life.I had a friend when I was preg she was preg same time as me and drank when preg.her son had fetal alchol syndrome. He is 11 and still has alot of problems.if u have evr seen a baby wit fetal alcohol syndrome u would nvr want to drink.mayb it would help if u goggled it.and if u breast feed def pump and dump and depending on how much u drink depends on how long u have to wait till u can give baby ur milk again.I goggled it when'll I was breast feeding my last baby.I waited 2days just to b safe.u could always still go wine tasting though bc I was always told ur not supposed to actually swallow the wine ur supposed to swish in mouth and then spit it out.just a thought:)then u can find out wht u like so after babys born u know wht u wana drink.just a thought. Good luck
  • I read that a 6oz glass of wine is okay but not everyday
  • Thankyou @lucky7 I really appre. it! Im not really that much of a drinker! So if I can wait to drink on my 21st I know I can wait till after the baby is here!
  • My obgyn said a glass or two every week isn't bad, & I ask why some drs day differently, she said because some docs believe if they give people an inch, they'll take a foot and over do it.. but she said it would be fine! I've had two glasses, once one week & once the next week.. didn't do anything & it tasted yummy with cheese & cracker (: haha!
  • Pumping and dumping doesn't help. If the alcohol is still in your blood stream, its still in your milk.
  • Pumping and dumping does work bc u still have to release the bad milk that is there and like I said there are breast feeding charts online that u can see how much u have had to drink and how long u should wait till it is out of ur blood and wht I always did was wait 24hrs longer than wht was told just to be safe.I've discussed this many times with my pediatrician.also there are test strips that are sold that u can put into milk u have pumped and will test for alcohol.
