  • I'm Filipino and black and I found that black hair products worked the best on mine.....motions is my fave. Just DON'T use pink lotion.
  • I'm. Told for my son to use adult shampoos never to use child shampoo as its aparently more drying.....I use coco oils n Paul Mitchell silky shine its in a clear bottle it helps for tangles n conditions.hes blk white n his hair is really hard to manage
  • imma try that...
  • There's a product called DPL that can probably be found at your local beauty supply store. It has the shampoo and moisturizer and it works great for kids with the thick curly hair and it keeps their hair soft and manageable!!
  • thanks...has anyone used product called mixed chics
  • I did when I was natural before the creamy crack called me but it works great I stopped using cause it's terribly expensive

  • @kerrideern bc it does good at first but then it dries the hair and causes it to break.....but that could just be my hair.

Its kinda like chapstick brand chapstick it condition but once you stop it dries it more than normal which causes ppl to buy more bc they think their hair is just dry.

  • Lol thank-you @ kerrideern
  • My sister uses olive oil on my nieces hair, she is mixed, but has some crazy hair. She just its a little on her hands and rubs it evenly through her hair, and its sort soft and manageable. Hope this helps :)
  • No pink lotion! Umm motions is good. Pantene prov relaxed & ratural creme. Also I use a product called Mixed Chicks but its a little more expensive. Not tooo expensive tho.
  • Also Just for Me works great on children.
  • @kerrideern its bad for children hair too. It takes moisture from your hair. Any hair! Just for Me lotion is really good for kids.
  • @katneal. We just bought mixed chicks. I like the leave in conditioner for my whole family still undecided about the shampoo. My whole family used the leave in conditioner on vacation and liked it. (I have curly hair and my husband is African so all of us have dry hair, although his is definantly drier.) We've also used a product called Liv that you can find at an ethnic beauty shop. It's in a white tub with ted lettering. Its good until my daughter sleeps on it and then her hair is just crazy
  • I use this stuf on my daughter its for kids it comes in a clear bottle with a green cap an its olive oil an shea butter an it makes her curls soo pretty. Pink lotion is made for african hair, not mixed hair, no matter how course the hair may seem its stil bi-racial hair therfore it overdries the hair causing breakage. Hope this helps :)
