how long do newborn baby outfits last

Or at what weight do they usually stop fitting them. How many newborn outfits will I need? Thanks

    They only last a week or two. I wouldn't buy very many. Get more of the 0 to 3 month clothes.

    Depends on brand size of babys arms legs or torso. Some nb is short n fat others long skinny. So it depends on the baby

    every baby is different mine was in newborn about 3 weeks he was 8.7lbs so a big baby. i would say about 10 outfits to start with you can always buy more and people will probably gift you some :)

    That's the tricky thing.... it depends on the size of your baby. My first was 6.10 20 1/4 inches long when born but she out grew newborn in less then two weeks. My friends son is now 10lbs and in a 3-6 mos. I honestly think you should get about 7 pairs of newborn pjs and then get some 0-3 then 3-6 mos that's what I did. I wish I could help more.

    My daughter was in carters for two weeks then 0-3 for two months then 3-6 etc she was 8.2 born and never lost weight only gained lol

    The wonderful thing is if you have your baby towards summer then onsies and little outfits like that last longer cause its so hot.

    Lol my daughter had some PJ's I loved so I cut the feet out so she could wear them longer. She gained weight so fast. At 6 mos she was over 20lbs. She was very tall also.

    i know I loved having my other boys in Feb this one will be in about 2-3 weeks so I'm excited eventhough I think he will be here sooner.

    Hey I'm having my baby in about 2-3 weeks too lol. Yea I have lots of onsie outfits for summer. I know she has a few PJ's that are going to get cut lol.

    Well I'm actual due in 4 1/2 weeks but I've never gone past 38 weeks so I'm praying I don't go past lol

    This is my 5th and sometimes I still don't know lol but if you have a baby shower then don't buy anything till after because I know with my first she had everything till she was about 12 months. I always stack up on wipes,diapers, and all the bath necessities.

    you also have to think ab how many time you are going to change him or her a day bc of spit up etc

    My first was never in newborn clothes. In the hospital they have these little shirts that button across the chest, and they couldn't even button the shirt across him. :) my second was in newborn for about a month, and they were in each size after that for 2-3 months until around a year, and then they stayed in them longer. Now they're in each size for about a year, give or take. I usually had 7 pairs of pants and 15+ shirts, plus 4-6 pairs of pjs. Then shoes, socks, and one or two cardigans/sweatshirts. The same went for summer stuff. And one nice outfit.

    I also had at least 20 onesies for newborn and 0-3 and then two 5 packs of onesies up until 12 months.

    my son was 6 lbs and 6 oz. he didnt fit into newborn clothes so we had to buy him a couple premie outfits which he wore for 2 weeks and then fit in newborn clothes for about 3 weeks so this time we bought like 15 to 20 newborn outfits because you dont realize how many you need.

    Thanks momma's!! @due_in_July I always had to have atleast 4 or 5 preemie stuff because the newborn wouldn't fit either especially for the going home outfit :)
