no embryo

I went for my first ultrasound today and the tech could see the sac but no embryo I have to go back in 2 weeks according to my edd I am 6 weeks the tech as it looks like 4 im confused scared and everything in between because im fascinated with being pregnant I've been reading anything and everything and found blighted ovum now im worried that my baby is not there

    Try not to stress to much. It could just be your not as far along as you thought. Try to relax and wait till you know for sure what's going on. Waiting is the worst I know. But try not to fill your thoughts with anything that could be wrong. It could be just a wrong date. Happ end a lot. That's why they do dating ultrasounds.

    The same thing happenend to me & they wanted for me to abored the baby. I told them hell no you will be fine. It was that I was too early now I'm 11 wks & the baby is healthy. :-)

    I was told that I didn't have a viable pregnancy by the ob and I was so upset I went to thbe emergency room... they did an ultra sound and found the tiny lil embryo.. I switched obs and 30 weeks later my son was born... it doesn't hurt to get a secon opinion and your ob shouldn't mind easing your mind being pregnant is a scary and exciting time so if you have questions don't stop till you get an answer... good luck and god bless:-)

    Thank you all I guess ill just have to wait 2 more weeks to find out but I truly believe there is a little one in there because I definitely feel pregnant

    Just hang on a little longer. My dr told me i wasn't pregnant twice and i was. Ultrasound can't see everything

    You welcome I knew they didn't know wat they were talking bout cause I felt like a little worm type thing & I was right.

    I had a blighted ovum two years ago so I know what u are going through.. I hope it is too early and next appt they will find the embryo!

    Samee thingg happen too mee I was likee 5 weeks w. My first ultra sound to find how far along I was, and they could only see the sac, I went back 2 weeks later and then I culd see a small spec of what was begining to be a baby. Good luck!

    The same thing happened to me. It could just be too soon or the machine is old
    I don't mean to be a downer but with my first pregnancy I was told the same thing. I was supposed to be 8wks and I showed only 6wks with no baby inside the sac. It was a blighted ovum and I miscarried at 3 wks later. There are stories of this happening and turns out there was a baby after all and that it was just hidden due to a tilted uterus or too old ultrasound machine or that the mother was just wrong on the dates. But ill say a little prayer for you tonight on a good outcome

    I have the same issue. I suffer from pcos so I have very irregular periods. The doc told me i was 10 weeks pregnant, but when the ultrasound was done, all they saw was a tiny sac. They revised the age of the pregnancy to 5, and did blood tests to check my hcg levels. They only increased slightly, so I have to go back on Wednesday for another scan. They dont know yet if it is just an early pregnancy, or if I have had a miscarriage. I don't bleed though, but I am cramping all ur time. They also worry about agnostic ectopic pregnancy. I am so confused as this is my first child and I don't know what to expect.
