boobies

edited April 2011 in First Trimester
I'm 7 weeks and my boobs are constantly aching but up until yesterday one is extremely painful. It's so painful I don't even notice the other aching. Last night my boyfriend just grazed it and I screamed and pulled away in pain. I just sit there and push on it bc the pressure makes it feel a little better. is this normal to hurt this bad and one to hurt worse than the other?

  • It was like that for me for a while. The left one hurt really bad, the right not so much. The pain is finally starting to ease up though..so don't worry.... It will get better :)
  • It's my left one too that's killing me. How far along when it started getting better?
  • Mine hurt once I hit 7 weeks im 17 weeks n they still kill me I hate putting n taking off my bra it sucks my left one hurts more then either one
  • Huh...I wonder what's so special about the left one lol...I changed the comforter a couple days ago bc it felt like sand paper on my nipples.
  • It actually finally started feeling better last week. I am 12.5 wks now.... So I guys at about 11wks it started feeling better. I still get pain here and there, but not liked it has been before :)
  • My right hurts more than my left...I sleep on my stomach so it is very irritating... yea my bf wants to touch them because they have grown but they hurt too much to touch...I need a shirt that says "you can look but don't touch" lol
  • @first_timer lol right. My boyfriend wants to play with them so much too. I allow him to just hold him but no funny business! Lol
  • Mine were like that through all 18 months of my first and second pregnancies. I started wearing padded bras because even the seatbelt in the car would make them hurt. The padded bras helped, though, because I couldn't feel all the little taps and stuff through the padding. :)
  • @magcaw that's a good idea I need buy new bras anyway (boobs growing)...ill definitely look into padded. Thanks
  • My left one hurts way more than my right one too. And I know exactly what you mean when you say just grazing the nipple sends you into tons of pain. I'm 7w4d. Ready to get past this junk..
  • Mine really haven't hurt alot & ill b 10wks Saturday. But I'm also nursing my almost 10 mo old daughter. I wonder y they don't hurt this time but they did the last 2 times.

  • @theswift4 ill be 11 weeks on Saturday. They barely hurt now. Every once in awhile I will notice them hurting a little. So hopefully yours will start feeling better soon. Mine didn't hurt my first pregnancy at all but this time around it was horrible.

@mshahir I know exactly how u feel. How far along are you?
  • @emmieken I'm curious why its usually the left one that hurts more than the right....weird

  • I have no idea! It sucks
  • i found that my first pregnancy my boobs really hurt so i wore a sports bra or really tight/supportive singlet to bed wich ment that they got more support and werent so tender. i also have very large boobs so since pregnancy number 1 i permanently were a bra to bed so this time round i have had no real pain...
  • I had real pain in mine for the 1st trimester but in the 2nd the sensitivity turned into a good thing ;-) I've only got 4 weeks to go and some days they hurt some they don't. Sports Bras are a great help though they tend to come off the second I'm home. By the time you get to the 3rd Trimester you'll be more worried about leaky Boobs then achey Boobs lol.
  • My boobs hurt constantly, with my daughter I didn't go through this part. Now I am 7 weeks and they are killing me :'( is there anything to help??
  • Mine are killing me too... my left worse then my right...of course my left has always been bigger then the right sooo... and yeah, putting on and takin off my bra is killer!
  • If you can cope with the contact I recommend rubbing a nice moisturiser into them like cocoa butter or the nipple cream you can get. Helps them not feel so tight n is a nice feeling, especially if you get someone else to do it for you ;-)
  • Well.. I say it comes with the territory ;)
  • I'm on the opposite end...had my dd on wed. Went to bed last night and was fine. I woke up this morn and could hardly set up. The pain goes away-for me from the 2nd trimester til babies birth-then ur milk comes in! For anybody not nursing, I wish u the best...can't imagine not being able to pump these babies when my dd is sleeping! Hope all ur boobs feel better/less painful soon and best wishes w the rest of ur pregnancies.
  • If pressure feels better, buy some sports bras, and throw them in the dryer to make them warm/hot and pull it out and instantly put it on. The pressure and heat help make them feel better :)
