My oldest is 9 and the last few days she has been crappy and acting strange. Im starting to wonder if af is about to show her ugly face! I started at 12 and 9 seems young but a friend of mine said she started at 9 but that seems so young! I was just wondering how old some of u were so I can get a better idea!

12, started on my friends bed during a sleepover. I was mortified! My girl turns 11 this month and when she tells me her tummy hurts, i'm always wondering if AF will start. God help me tho, she's already moody.

I didn't start til I was 15... Weight has to do with it because fat cells produce estrogen. If your daughter is close to 100 lbs that could be why she got it so early. I wasn't over 100 lbs until high school and my doctor told me that's why my cycle was delayed. I had 2 friends who started theirs in 3rd grade, though, so they were probably around your daughters age.

I was eight! It was the most horrifying thing that ever happened to me. My grandma raised me and we never had the conversation. I came home from school and went pee noticed the blood and didn't move from the toilet for 4 hours! When my grandma got home from work! Her not knowing what to really do for me she bought me tampons! Worse day of my life! I would just talk to her about it ASAP and tell her it's nothing to worry about and how to take care of it and herself during. I wish someone would have talked to me LOL horrible!!! Good luck to you and your daughter!

I didn't start mine until I was 16...on Father's day. My best friend started hers when she was 12. I used to feel so left out but now I'm so glad it waited so long.
