I've just read a couple of posts about peoples friends, MILs and coworkers being rude to them and it's pissing me off! I have an aunt who is...god, I don't even know how to begin to describe her.. she's rude, just leave it at that. Over the weekend my family went out for dinner to celebrate my sisters graduation from nursing school. I've made it pretty clear that I'm not totally ready to share the name we have picked out for our girl because people cant help but give their "opinion" on baby names buuuut my dad was excited (cant blame him, haha) and when the subject came up he goes "Oh yeah! Theyre going to go with Lucile... call her Lucy" and my aunt goes "Lucile?! As in Lucile Ball?!" (Yeah dummy.. were naming our kid after LUCILE BALL) then she goes "Oh god, she's hormonal, theres still time, hopefully she will change her mind"
!!!!!
You bitch! Your hair is AWFUL! You literally havent changed it since 1981! How dare you?!
Of course I didn't say any of that but guess what? today.. I'd say it, so any of you have a rude friend or relative that feels like doing something dumb today, send 'em my way. I'll even give you my phone number! Don't mess with me today rudies!

    I hate that! Had some co worker tell me & go on & on bout it that since she got older kids she couldn't start over again like me. What? I said my daughters almost 11yrs old. So I feel like a new mom. That's wat started it. So my boss who was sitting there said well she's young enough only 30. The ass shut up. Guess she thought I was like over 90 or something.
    Next up an aunt who asks... hows my son? Bitch this isn't your kid!! You've got 3 grown already. Idont even know what it is yet. She knows we'd like another girl but will.be happy w whatever. But it seems she likes to rub it in. Then she's expecting to be in L&D. Um NO!!

    Aw..I really like the name lucille. I love older names, an lucy is so cute! I get a lot of comments about my sons name, mostly compliments but some rude remarks. his name is tydrian ( said like adrian with ty instead of the a lol) he's named aftr his daddy...when I was pregnant with him an smebody askd me his name an I told them they actually said "wow u can tell ur havin a blak kid" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O I was in utter disbelief that somebody actually said that 2 MY FACE!

    @lilbun915 I love Lucile. My sissy is Lucille Joanna. Such a beautiful name! True we allcall her Lucy Jo. Anyways it's a beautiful name and one you don't here often :) hopefully shell come out with red hair ;) just to annoy Your aunt lol

    I am one who lovess different names. I dont understand why ppl dis on them. They are different ppl why cant they have their own name.. common names are just rudiculous.. fir a boy i like ty which isnt very different to begin with and ppl are like omg or is that short for something and for a girl i like rayne and they look at me all stupud like she did not just say that. another thing im having problems with is your filling out like your havingva girl. Girls grow all over and boys just grow to the front. Thats really srewed up. So what if i may have a girl. She is going to be prettier then your boy! Leave my weight alone idc what i look like as long as i have a healthy baby its not even like im huge. Im 147..

    @kritten_octoberbby there is literally no scientific evidence that girls carry differently than boys. I hate when people say that to me.. when I found out I was having a girl the same aunt goes "Oh! That makes SO much sense because they say girls take your beauty away!" I was dumbfounded.

I honestly believe that women who make comments like that are subconsciously jealous or insecure because by nature the pregnant woman in the room is usually the center of attention ya know? They have to find some way to cut us back down to size

    My oldest name is Serenity. My grandparents told me that her name was going t get her picked on. My grandparent's are so judgmental about everything me and my husband do. Told them i wad pregant with this one and my grandmother was like don't you think you have enough.

    @kritten_octoberbby the funniest part for me was that I was told I was having a boy at first and didn't find out it was a girl until 20w, and prior to that my aunt was like "you look so beautiful! Youre definitely having a boy because youre tiny and youre glowing.. girls carry differently and they take your beauty" then I tell everyone it's actually a girl and she changes her tune! So either she was lying to me.. and she secretly thought I looked awful (I have sucky pg acne too...) or she is totally insane haha.
    ps. if you don't mind me asking, where is your pg acne acting up? and what are you using? I'm getting it around my jaw and neck... I hate it SO much.

    I'm having problems with my mom not liking my sons name. I'm going to name him Damien and she keeps telling me to change it bcuz it means demon when really it doesn't. All bcuz of that stupid movie the omen. Doesn't mean my son is gonna come out being the devil! So she refuses to say his name and calls him emilio %-(

    @hurstk28 I hate when people say that a name will get a kid picked on.. kids will find reasons to pick on other kids whether their name is different or not and frankly I'd rather kids pick on my daughter because of her name than dig for something else. A unique name forces a child to be confident, especially if his/her parents teach confidence!

    Bahaha 1981!! Well when we told our parents that we wanted to give our daughter the middle name parker they threw a fit! 'Thats a last name!' Or 'isnt that a boys name?' 'Whos parker?' Like really? Are we supposed to name our kid after someone we know? SMDH

    wow people really are rude. When we first found out we were expecting my hubby made it clear to his mom to not bombard me with names (we mc 2 yrs ago and when he first told her b4 we lost it, she gave us lists) anyways she says ok. Then she called me 2 days later and literally said "god I'm going to need therapy to discuss names with you , I just dont know how I'll handle it." I just said ok then she went into a 2 hour conversation bout what she liked and hated then hung up on me when I said politly that I'm not ready to look at names yet. Btw this happened in nov, we dont talk to her now, hubbys choice and other reasons, but my SIL brings it up a lot.

    I named my son kayleb, I know the name isn't that original, but I got so much shit for the spelling and was told its a fat kids make. The only chubby part of my son is his cheeks he's all muscle which to me was a big f u to anyone who talked shit. Name her what feels right to you its not their kid. BTW I love Lucy haha sorry I couldn't resist the pun!

With my first I was told the same thing oh wow you're gaining everywhere you're gonna have a girl because people having boys only gain in the tummy well my first was a boy I spread out all over my 2nd and this one are girls and I'm just getting a big belly and a lil in the face

    Well I really like the name Lucille! I am all for out of the box names! My MIL had the same type of smart ass comments to make about our boy name (Oliver) First she said that it was an awful name. Then she followed that with 'If we name our son that he will be a wimp when he grows up' then not 5 minutes after that she told me that 'she was embarassed to tell her family and friends that we are naming our son Oliver' I was soo freaking angry I almost took her head off. She even emails my husband name suggestions every few days, and tells him to try and persuade me to change my mind. Well guess what lady?!? I am not Changing my mind!! We love that name, and we call him that every day!! Some people just dont know when do shut their damn mouths!

    Lol I should've told that lady. But my aunt is nuts! She. Wantd to do a baby shower at her home. I want it outside and she's like I got the yard. Yup yoy do with 4 dogs worth of poop!! Its dirty. & gross. Um no again. But she's in for a surprise when I tell her no to L&D.

    Me and my bf are naming our kid Benny George the III and my family hates it! I love it! But I call him Lbj all the time because he is my Little Benny Jr. Lol well at first with how sick I was and my levels the doctor thought we were having twins and I said I want a boy and a girl cause then we would've named them Benny and Bently...my little sister had the nerve to tell me that if I named my kid Bently she was gonna pick on her and make fun of her cause it was a stupid name...so I beat my sister! Punched her right in the face!

    @lilbun915 thats crazy. No one asked for her opinion. My grandma is extemely opinonated. She always tells my mom she us fat and unhealthy.. she is also always on my case about health too. its all over and anything i use doesnt work... i have it on my chest(which is cleared a bit) back(just started) and my whole damn face. Ive tried proactive. Noxzema, st ives apricot scrub.. nothing put a dent in it.. what do you use

    My mom loved the names we had picked before (Giovanni and Olivia) and when I told her we changed our choices, she was PISSED. Well, my bf stopped loving Giovanni overnight, and we just decided Olivia was way too popular. When I told her our new choices (Kieran and Kája) she said Kieran sounded gay (??? Wtf.) And feminine. And that we couldn't have a Mexican kid with a white Irish name (my bf's dad is from Mexico but his mom is from Spain, and anyway he hates how my family is so stuck on his ethnicity) . AND I'm Irish with red hair and green eyes, duh Mom. So why wouldn't we give a half Irish kid an Irish name . And Kája, which is pronounced like Kaia, she said would get mispronounced constantly and when I told her it was a Czech spelling, she said "Why does the name have to be ethnic?". Omg. I told her she already named her kids and wasn't good at it so let it go! Lol I know, bitchy thing for me to say, but my mom named my siblings and I Melody, Harmony, Greyson, Autumn, and Logan. We are all adults and I know some of our names are common now, but they were out there when we were kids, especially growing up in Kansas, the land of Jacobs and Abbys. Lol. People used to ask when they heard our names if our mom was a pothead. /:-)

    We were going to name Abigail, Lucy because me mom's name is Ana Luz and has always gone .by Lucy. Abby's middle name will probably be Luz or Lucia.
    Ugh! I hate people that like to impose their unsolicited opinions on your decisions regarding YOUR child!
