My cousin has a mastiff and he is the sweetest laid back dog ever. I have a 9 yr old shi Tzu and I think he will be a great big brother. Over the yrs when I have watched my niece anytime I leave the room he will stay and it never failed that before she even cries but just starts to wiggle he would run to me and huff not bark and when I go in to check she would just be waking up. So I say to hell with the baby monitor gio will double as that.
I have a 5 yr old lhasa apso, a 3 yr ols bull mastiff and a 2 yrs old american bulldog. All of them r great but I think we need to work w my lhasa apso a bit more as far as the bby goes b/c he can get jealous. He doesn't really do anything bad but when he gets in his moods he likes to b by himself and he will not "talk" to us its actually pretty funny but I know he will love this bby as much as we do. I don't want him to feel left out or replaced
We have two 3yo american bulldogs.. I'm kinda worried about Petey because he's never really been great with kids (never, ever aggressive, just would rather be away from them) but Thor is waaayyy more tolerant.. he doesn't mind kids at all and will even let them cuddle with him. The only thing we're worried about most is tripping over one of them in the middle of the night!
My hubby is getting a French mastiff for this baby's 1st birthday. My daughter got a GSD. Unfortunately his hips are bad so he will probably have to be put down by the time Hooch gets her.
