Child support question

Ugh I didnt wana have to do this but my bd called and told me I wasnt gonna get a dime out of him after he agreed to pay me out of every check and said im a cold hearted bitch and that he hated me for saying im going to have to get him for child support. I told him I dont want to but he needs to take responsibility too and he keeps denyimg her. I want him to be around her but i dont want him to be able to take her because I cant trust him to keep her safe and hes a 23 year old that lives with his grandma in a worn down house and he smokes pot and goes to clubs which he has a charge for. A friend of mine said I wouldnt be able to do anything n she has child support. Help?

    I have child support of course I get 60 a week fun my kids cost more than that. U can go to court for supervised visition n u explain y u want it. I don't trust bd so I had to do it like that

    I'm filing same day I have my son online in the hospital with my free wifi he hasn';t helped with anything so I could care less about his feelings or his pocket book it's sad that men willingly eff u without a condem and then can not deal with the results

    I learned from watching the judge shows if he doesn't pay and u have a judgement u can sue his ass for the past judgement which I plan to do if he does not pay

    I was advised by my lawyer that since my bd wants absolutely nothing to do with this baby to get a paternity test, have him sign his rights over, and then work out a written payment agreement. That way everything is done out of courts and drama free but if he tries to dip out on our agreement I have the paternity test and written agreement as leverage.

    I wouldn't recommend signing over rights just guardianship because then he is not legally required to pay

    @preggointx thats not true, at least not here. As long as you have something that shows paternity, like a dna test, then they still have to pay. Idk if thats the case in every state though.

    That's a shame he can't just put his greediness aside for the sake of his daughter. Even agreeing to pay diapers and clothes, something! Your doing the right thing hun. Good luck.

    I dont think he would sign over his rights he told me since I wanna take him to court he was gonna make my life a living hell and I heard paternity tests are 500 unless u go to court :(

    @mammacat yea but the thing about paternity test through the courts is that if the baby is his he will have to pay for that test. If not then you will. I was going through the same thing just last week, my bd was trying to deny our child despite having already had previous conversations with me about wanting to be in the childs life and admitting that he knows its his. He said I don't recall that, the child you're carrying might be mine, now can we move on. I told him he didn't have to because I had the conversations recorded and saved all the vm's and when we do go to court and take a paternity test which he knows damn well he doesn't need to take because we already know the results, he'll be the one paying me and for the test. 2 minutes he had a complete change of heart lol. He was all like well why did you jus say all that, why are we goin through all this, i'm just concerned about the baby. Then today calls and says he wants him to have his last name. Funny when just last week according to you he wasn't yours. Men know these kids are theirs they are just scared of taking responsibility and would rather run. Its really sad and the kids don't deserve this as they are the ones who truly suffer as a result.

    @singlemama wow lol my bd keeps telling me all this crap his "gf" is telling him like if he doesnt sign the birth certificate I cant do nothin I laughed so hard this girl dont even have kids and keeps textibg me telling me to stop harassing him. I never talk to him except when he calls to insult me. He changed his number though after calling me a whore and telling me to "shove my baby up my loose vag" those words were enough to make me pissed! But I didnt let him know that I dont need him stressing me out he obviously has serious mental problems.

    @mammacat yea he had a lil 20 yr old gf that tried to talk shit to me too. She was telling me that she's the only reason why he's being nice to me bcuz she's convincing him to be nice just in case it is his kid bcuz she is more of a grown woman than me. Mind you this is after i confronted her and asked did she know he was using her car to bring me to things for my pregnancy. I laughed so hard. I replied Well I hope you aren't telling him to rub my feet, my back, and my belly because he offered those as well but I turned him down. 2ndly if you have to tell a grown 30 yr old man to be nice to the mother of his child doesn't that make you more grown than him? And if he's using your car to bring me things then clearly he knows its his kid. What an idiot. These girls are idiots, I would never be with a man who a. had some baby mama drama goin on b.doesn't handle his responsibility to his kids by lying about paternity or just not taking care of them. They fail to realize that they are watching a recuring theme in this man's life only with different actors and pretty soon they will be in the same role as us, just as we were once in their role.

    @mammacat and I had my bd on block until about a week ago lol...He would call me up and piss me off and say rude things as well. Therefore whenever he would call his calls would go straight to vm. and I would never call him back unless it had something to do with a babys dr appts. A few times he wanted to meet up to "resolve things" but I couldn't/wouldn't do it.

    I'm from texas and when I filed on my ex husband. the father isn't allowed to take the child over night until age 3they establish visitations when an amount is agreed upon. And its better to do it as soon as the baby is born. I made the dumb move of letting my ex watch our daughters and he disappeared they couldn't charge him with kidnapping bc he was on the birthcert and we had no agreement so I didn't get my girls back until we finally went in for child support.
