***3rd UPDATE (at bottom)*** no amniotic fluid at 20 wks.. :'( anyone else?

So I had my 20 weeks scan today to be told there is hardly any fluid around our bean. Got taken to see a consultant who basically told me our bean won't make it. I'm mortified. Been warned we will have to make a very difficult decision soon. Help ladies :'( x

    I am so sorry. My sister had ver4y low fluid with my niece. she was born 4 weeks early. i pray for you and your baby that everything will be ok

    :( I am SO sorry to hear this. Maybe your baby will be okay for another few weeks to reach viability. If she doesn't, message me and I will introduce you to a support group I wish I wasn't part of. My first child was stillborn at almost 41 weeks last year and I REALLY hope things go much much better for you and your baby.

    You need to check other hospitals around you. A girl I know had that problem they did something like artificial fluid just long enough for her to develop a little more she was early and had a few problems but she made it...

    I've had no leaks, no signs of anything being wrong. For the first time I was looking forward to my scan today, not dreading it as with 10 wks & 13 wks. I've got another scan booked for Thursday for them to check bean over. As I'm typing this I can still feel movement and heard heartbeat on our monitor less than an hour ago. Thank u mamas xx

    Start researching this "artificial fluid" the ladies have mentioned. If your dr. Isn't on board, find a HIGH RISK DR. who is! They may be more familiar with the situation you are facing. 2nd opinions are vital! Don't give up!

    I've done some research and ppl have reported better fluid after an IV drip and or after drinking 6 litres of water a day for a week and then maintain at 4 a day until birth. I don't wana give up on my bean, I'm going to stay positive and keep looking for options. I've seen 2 consultants 3 nurse/midwifes who all think my bean won't make it to viability which here in uk is 24 weeks. My determination and love for this baby WILL get us thru. Thank u mama's

    I've never heard about this. I'm sorry its happening. Try drinking more water. Maybe that'll help too.

    Babies can make it outside of the mom at 24 weeks and up if u can make it to 28 weeks that's the best that's what they told me I gave birth to my daughter at 28 weeks she was in the nicu she is 4 years old now and u wouldn't even know she was a preemie hopefully ur lil baby can make until 28 weeks and if they have to induce labor for you I pray that ur little baby makes it through and beats the odds godbless sweetie

    I am so sorry to hear ur story i know just what your goin thru this happened to me in 09 i was leaking fluid went to er they told me everything was fine this happened for two weeks and iwas back and fourth from the doc to the er and they kept telling me everything was ok on a Thursday i went to the er and doc and they told me again it wasn't fluid the next say i went back to be told there was no fluid and baby wouldn't make it i wish i would have known then. About artificial fluid or trying a different hospital or just waiting and seeing what happened they induced me i had my baby she weighed 12oz prayers and thought are with u and the little one...

    It may not end bad, my mom had vary little fluid with me and I was almost full turm. I was perfictly fine and 20w 3d prego with my first now. Don't give up!

    Have faith!!! If you can even get 4 more weeks in....you will have lung development. Pray and research its never over until you give up hope....check out your options.
