I am so glad to hear he is ok. He really should go get his head looked at though. Cars can be fixed ... Husbands are a lil harder to repair Glad to hear good news.
He is better now. When I got to the wreck he had no idea what was going on he couldnt remember anything it was horrible.. he had staples in his head.. &was in the hospital for a few days but we finally settled with insurance saturday so that mess is over with ... I'd make sure he is ok the person who hit hims insurance will pay
Yes ma'am. Love the job and love to help ppl but hate some of the calls and its sad to say but I hate having to take care of a drunk that just killed someone. We are taught to treat everyone the same but its so hard. I make sure that if its a drunk that I plug every hole in there body with something. And a really really big iv. Lol.
Glad he's okay but tell him to get checked plus the other guy has to pay the bill n if he gets a repurcussion later it'll b hard to prove it was from the accident. Don't mean to scare u but i tell u from experience
Wow scary! 90% of drunk drivers walk away un touched as our family is harmed.. make sure he gets checked. Head n most trauma don't show for hours or next day because adrenaline. take it from me I didn't show signs of any damage till next day.
One of my residents was hit by drunk driver and he was so bad the only bones outta 206 were not broke where skull n feet bones n hand. Sadly he was medically induced paralyzed waist down to heal. he was only 28!! Crazy medics told me he crawled outta car.
Im just functioning. I think reality hasn't set in yet... Ive cried and cried but the pain stays. I hope your hubby is feeling ok today. I know how it hits you like a ton of bricks when you wake up the next day and start movin
@mommyof4girls I just can't even imagine the pain you're feeling. My heart hurts for you. If there's anything I can do let me know. I don't know what to say to make you feel better (I'm sure there's nothing), but I am more than happy to 'listen'. Take care of yourself, allow the hurt and tears, and let people help you when you need it. I'll be praying for you.
@nikki2690 Holy scary! My goodness that must have been so awful!! I feel so lucky that everything is ok, I truly truly do. Ugh, you poor thing! And your poor husband! I'm so glad he's ok now.
@momof5 God bless you!!! You are amazing for what you do! I have so much respect and appreciation for what you do because I could not do it myself. I get chills thinking of what you do... thank you! Seriously! And keep 'taking care' of those drunks... I love it.
No problem. I love love the job just hate when I have to deal with innocent lives that are taken cause of someone elses stupidity. I do it cause I lost a brother due to someones stupidity and it was the paramedics that were on scene that couldn't do anything for my brother but they showed us compassion and were standing by us helping us through the situation and the medics that worked on my brother was one of our cousins and 3 others were classmates. I wanted to be the one to help families like we were helped. I've also worked a friend and lost him but it was knowing that I was there from start to finish and knowing that I did everything possible. I was also able to be the one to go out and explain to the family that he had died and that there was nothing more we could do. Its heartbreaking but yet gives you closure. I got to be with the family and cry along with them and comfort them.
And for the drunks. They always hurt when I'm done. We don't carry big ivs for nothing and a catheter. Lol.
